Shawn Bordoff
- Actor
- Writer
- Producer
Shawn Bordoff was born in Montreal and learned to talk by watching US Television.
Shawn studied Pure and Applied Science at Vanier College. He saw Meet John Doe and immediately decided that he wanted to inspire the world like Frank Capra. He did a one-eighty, switched his major to Cinema and never looked back.
While working on set, Shawn was surprised that many directors seemed more concerned with the shot than the performance. The desire to be an actor's director, lead him to increase his focus on performance. He had a dream one night about being a Stand-up comedian, so of course he pursued that type of insanity. He moved to Vancouver in 1992 and became obsessed with comedy improvisation. In 1996 Shawn wrote and directed a short film where all the dialogue was in alphabetical order. It was called Alphabet Soup and aired on Super Channel in Canada for one year. In 1998, he produced a 13 episode comedy series called Punk for MuchMusic that never went to air.
Shawn moved to LA in 2005 but later moved back to Vancouver because he preferred real health care.
