He was awarded the M.B.E. (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1998 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the British Film Industry.
Son of TV-commercial animator Tony Cattaneo (1927-2003), who was
responsible for such memorable campaigns as the Tetley tea folk, the
Typhoo gnu and the Country Life butter men.
