Mad Max franchise mastermind George Miller recently brought us a new addition to the series with the release of the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa (read our review Here) – and while that movie struggles to draw in viewers during its theatrical run, we have decided to take a look back at the first Mad Max sequel, the 1981 classic The Road Warrior (watch it Here). You can hear all about it in the embed above!
Directed by Miller from a screenplay he crafted with Terry Hayes and Brian Hannant, The Road Warrior – which is also known as Mad Max 2 outside of the United States – has the following synopsis: After avenging the death of his wife and young son at the hands of a vicious gang leader, Max drives the post-apocalyptic highways of the Australian outback, fending off attacks from nomadic tribes that prey on outsiders. Falling into an encampment...

Helen Mirren and Jason Clarke star in this haunted house horror that’s based on the true story of The Winchester Mystery House. It’s directed by the Spierig Brothers, the German-born Australian directing duo whose previous films include 2014′s time-loop sci-fi Predestination and the recent Saw reboot, Jigsaw.
Set in San Francisco in 1906 (which ought to give history buffs something of a heads-up), Winchester centres on the true story of Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren), the widow of the inventor of the Winchester repeating rifle and heir to the company’s vast fortune. Wracked with guilt over all the deaths her company has caused and haunted by their spirits, Sarah has devoted her widowhood to building a continually expanding mansion,...

"It's gargantuan seven storied structure with no apparent rhyme or reason..." CBS Films has debuted the second official trailer for the horror thriller film titled Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built, now titled simply just Winchester (because who wants to remember that very long title, I guess?). Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of "the most haunted house in the world", built by Sarah Winchester, played by Helen Mirren, heiress to the Winchester (weaponry) fortune. The huge house, located 50 miles outside of San Francisco, stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. Apparently Winchester built this house as a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts. The cast includes Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson, Laura Brent, Tyler Coppin, and Dawayne Jordan. This does look fairly creepy, and I'm hoping the house plays a major role with all kinds of scary things coming from inside.

"It's under never-ending construction..." CBS Films has unveiled the first official trailer for a new horror thriller film titled Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built, which is supposedly inspired by true events. The film tells the story of "the most haunted house in the world", built by Sarah Winchester, played by Helen Mirren, heiress to the Winchester (weaponry) fortune. The house, located 50 miles outisde of San Francisco, stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. Apparently Sarah Winchester built this house as a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts. The cast includes Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson, Laura Brent, Tyler Coppin, and Dawayne Jordan. This looks like a solid haunted house film, with some crazy things going on and spooky ghosts. I'd actually like to visit this house. When I was younger I was a big James Herbert fan, so watching The Survivor was something I just had to do. Confusing and slow, I’ll admit I was not ready for what I found with the film, but now with its new release on Blu-ray, is it about time to give the film another chance?
When a 747 crash lands in a Sydney suburb the only other survivor is David Keller (Robert Powell). Unable to remember what happened to make the plane crash, he starts his own investigation into what happened. With the help of local psychic Hobbs (Jenny Agutter) he discovers not only why the plane crashed, but also why some of the dead refuse to be at peace.
