The Vampire Diaries was a hit, fan-favorite show on The CW for years!
Starring Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Matthew Davis and more, the supernatural drama ran from 2009 to 2017 for eight seasons.
The series spawned two spinoffs – The Originals and Legacies, and there’s even an idea for a fourth series in the Tvd universe.
Tvd centered on 17-year-old Elena (Dobrev), who was torn between two vampire brothers, good Stefan and the evil Damon, who face new dangers in the town of Mystic Falls.
Other stars on the show included Steven R McQueen, Sara Canning, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Kayla Ewell, Michael Trevino, Joseph Morgan and Michael Malarkey.
Since it’s debut in 2009, the stars have gone on to have successful careers in Hollywood, and they have wracked up impressive fortunes in the process. But who is the wealthiest? We did some digging and looked at the...

The network already has dramas “Brilliant Minds” and “The Hunting Party,” as well as comedies “St. Denis Medical and “Happy’s Place” set to air next season.
Starring Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg, “Suits L.A.” follows Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt for his entire career. NBC has picked up its two outstanding pilots to series, the hourlong Suits: L.A., starring Stephen Amell, and Grosse Pointe Garden Society. However, it has not been determined yet whether any of them will premiere during the 2024-25 seasons.
NBC already has two new drama and two new comedy series set for next season, dramas Brilliant Minds and The Hunting Party which, like Grosse Pointe Garden Society, originated as a writers room commission in February 2023, as well as comedies St. Denis Medical and the Reba McEntire-led Happy’s Place.
Along with the pickups, NBC has released first-look images for Suits: L.A. and Grosse Pointe Garden Society. You can see them below.
As Deadline reported last month, both pilots had come in solid and looking good for an order.
With a globally recognizable title thanks to Suits‘ recent Netflix success, offshoot Suits: L.A. had been considered a strong proposition from the moment it was announced.

The world of Suits is officially getting larger.
NBC has given a series order to Suits: LA, a spinoff of/companion show to the former USA Network series-turned-streaming juggernaut. The network has also picked up Grosse Pointe Garden Society, a murder mystery from the team behind Good Girls.
NBC hasn’t scheduled either show yet, but it’s conceivable they could be ready for the second half of the 2024-25 season. Crime drama The Hunting Party is currently the only midseason scripted series on tap for the network.
Like its predecessor, Suits: LA comes from creator Aaron Korsh. After Suits became a massive streaming hit last year, Korsh and Universal Studio Group’s UCP, which produced the original series, began developing a second show set in the same world — though not featuring any characters (at least at the outset) from the New York-set Suits. NBC ordered a pilot for the show in February,...

Exclusive: Another Grammer will appear in the Paramount+ series Frasier next season.
Greer Grammer will guest star on the series as Roz Doyle’s (Peri Gilpin) daughter Alice all grown up. Now in her late twenties, friendly, outgoing Alice has inherited more than some of her mother’s free-spirited ways. Having just moved to Providence to study architecture, Alice is eager to catch up with Frasier’s son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott)—and complicate whatever romantic plans he may have.
Gilpin appeared in one episode of the new Frasier last season and was previously announced to be returning for Season 2 in a recurring capacity. Production is currently underway in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios.
The series follows Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to face new challenges, forge new relationships and – with hope – finally fulfill an old dream or two.

Women constantly face the stigma of having their looks and personalities used to determine their capabilities. A girl’s life choices should be up to her, not the biases and demands of those around her. In a time where phrases like, “girl boss” and, “good for her” movies have become entwined in our cultural lexicon, ‘Legally Blonde’, a film released back in 2001, remains a beloved classic of female empowerment. ‘Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is surrounded by people who don’t take her at all seriously and instead perceive her as a beautiful, dumb, blonde. Conversely, Vivian Kensington (Selma Blair), Elle’s brunette and less blatantly feminine classmate is viewed as smart, respectable, and less attractive. Through these characters, the film emphasizes the absurdity of allowing a woman’s appearance to dictate our perception of her intelligence and value. Bring your pink suit to the dry cleaners because Legally Blonde is making a comeback, and you’ll want to dress to impress! According to Deadline, Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine company will partner with Amazon MGM Studios for a Legally Blonde spinoff TV series. The long-anticipated project comes from Gossip Girl writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who will also produce through their Fake Empire studio. Plot details remain a mystery, though Witherspoon’s involvement with the project gives me good vibes.
Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will produce the Legally Blonde spinoff TV series via Hello Sunshine alongside Legally Blonde film producer Marc Platt. Deadline says there’s a chance we could get more than one spinoff series inspired by Legally Blonde, but details are fuzzier than the eraser toppers Elle Woods keeps in her purse.
Released in 2001, Legally Blonde stars Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority queen whom her boyfriend dumps.

Dylan Mulvaney is dreaming big, and one of the characters she would like to play is Elle Woods from Legally Blonde.
In a recent interview, the singer and actress said that her dream theater role was to play Glinda in Wicked, but her “dream dream” was to portray the Harvard Law School student that Reese Witherspoon famously played in the 2001 film.
“My dream though is to do a trans Legally Blonde,” Mulvaney said in an interview with IMDb during SXSW. “I wanna play Elle Woods and have maybe a trans Emmett and a trans Paulette. And I think what’s so cool about plugging trans people into existing stories is it inherently changes what the topic is, but in a way that you don’t actually have to do much to the script because it becomes something different — but actually, I think it makes it even more powerful.”

What makes a sex scene sexy? More to the point, what makes a sex scene good? That’s become an especially thorny question in recent years, with detailed accounts of what goes on behind the scenes of movies we love complicating our relationship with their most memorable moments. And though we’re ever so slowly moving away from the male gaze serving as the default perspective on love, sex, and everything between, there’s still a long way to go.
That is, if sex scenes still appear in movies at all. They do, but with greater infrequency, certainly in Hollywood studio productions. Though many think-pieces have been written about “the death of the sex scene” there’s still been a lot to celebrate over the last 23 years. A number of sex-positive, LGBTQ-friendly, and otherwise forward-thinking filmmakers have directed scenes that are as steamy as they are moving. There’s nothing...

So how did he get a teaching job at a public school with such a violent history?

The Season 2 premiere introduced Eva-Jane Willis as Megan “Smitty” Garretson, the Fly Team’s new Europol liaison.

Meanwhile, Forrester had to handle the ramifications of the Season 1 finale with his mother on the loose and a deadly man with a vendetta out to get him.
Plus, Raines made a surprising choice on his future in the FBI and with the team.

It's not time to use legal jargon in our everyday lives again? We might have to object. Legally Blonde became an instant smash when the film—starring Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis and Jennifer Coolidge—debuted in 2001, and it's 2003 sequel didn't disappoint. So, naturally fans were far from seriously disturbed when Reese confirmed in 2020 that Legally Blonde 3 was, indeed, in the making. As for where the third installment stands now? Luke—who played Reese's love interest, Emmett, in the films—gave fans an honest update. "I think I know as much as you all," he said during the...

“Legally Blonde” fans have been waiting in limbo for announcements on the long-in-the-works third movie, but a recent Reese Witherspoon interview implies the sequel isn’t a sure thing just yet. The Oscar winner recently told USA Today that she is still hoping the movie comes together in “the right way,” which may surprise fans given that “Legally Blonde 3” once had a 2022 release date. Development is seemingly taking longer than Witherspoon expected.
“I’m still hoping that ‘Legally Blonde 3’ is gonna come together in the right way,” Witherspoon said. “It’s just like ‘Top Gun.’ They waited a long time to make another version of that movie, and I loved the nostalgia piece they incorporated in it. So definitely that gave us a lot of inspiration about what we would want to do with Elle Woods and make sure that we had all those same touchstones that mattered to people back then.

“Legally Blonde” first charmed audiences with its sparkling story of a heartbroken blonde-turned-brilliant Harvard Law student when it arrived in theaters on July 13, 2001. Brought to life by the incomparable Reese Witherspoon, Elle Woods was immediately charming: A bubbly SoCal optimist with a perpetually pink wardrobe and unfailing faith in people equally as delightful.
Elle’s legacy — a film franchise-turned-haven practically designed for effervescent underdogs — developed more slowly. Over the past 21 years, the movie that critics received well enough but didn’t fawn over in 2001 (it holds a 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes) became a cult classic, inspiring generations of dreamers to chase their passions in and outside the lecture hall.
Elle’s story was first imagined by author Amanda Brown in her novel of the same name, released the same year as the film. But Witherspoon and director Robert Luketic imbued the character with distinct likability, morphing what could have been...

For the first time in nearly 13 years, The CW’s Vampire Diaries universe is off the air. With spinoff series Legacies‘ fourth season serving as its last, and its June 16 finale already behind us, there’s no telling when another Tvd story will come about. However, during their run, Tvd shows became the pinnacle of the supernatural soap genre with steamy romances, intriguing lore, memorable characters — and most importantly, a perfect amount of cheesiness. When it premiered in 2018 soon after The Originals finale, Legacies found ways to distinguish itself from its predecessors. Centered around the children of the characters from the previous two shows, Legacies has an interesting premise: Tvd’s Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) runs a school for witches, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings, like tribrid Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), who happens to be all three. Set a few years after her parents die on The ...

Don’t turn off your humanity just yet: Despite the cancellation of “Legacies” — the YA spin-off series to “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” — co-creator Julie Plec said there’s “more to do” within the franchise universe.
“We had a plan to keep the franchise on the air until the next installment, which exists in our brains, but not on the page yet,” Plec told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.
“Legacies” was just one of myriad shows canceled by The CW last month as the network cleaned house. Launched in 2018, the series followed a new generation of supernaturals at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, run and attended by familiar faces like Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) and tribrid Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell). It's been a turbulent road for The CW's Legacies, but it's hard to believe the series wraps up for good in less than a week.
Legacies Season 4 Episode 20 has a big task:
It has to wrap up the series in a satisfying fashion while also saying goodbye to The Vampire Diaries universe.
This journey for many of us fans began in 2009 with the original series.
Thankfully, the series finale teases a closure-filled affair as the Salvatore School students decide what to do next.
The battle with Ken came to a grinding halt on Legacies Season 4 Episode 19, and all that's left is for the students to process the events.

and then the network canceled the series.
It was a shocking turn of events, and all we can do is tune into the beloved supernatural drama when it returns Thursday, June 2.
Now, the network has released three photos for Legacies Season 4 Episode 20, aka the series finale.
We see Hope at what looks to be an assembly at the school, spearheaded by Alaric.
Given that it sounds like the battle with Ken plays out on Legacies Season 4 Episode 19, it sounds like the series finale will very much be about the aftermath of it.

It's officially the end of the line for Legacies.
The CW announced Thursday that the Vampire Diaries and The Originals spinoff has been canceled after four seasons.
The series starred Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson in a role she originated on the final season of The Originals.
Legacies took place at the Salvatore School for the Young and the Gifted, and featured a cast of franchise veterans and new additions.
The school was the setting as the characters navigated their supernatural abilities, which also meant they had to decide whether to be good or evil.
Hope's arc was largely governed by her journey to become the Tribrid, which made her a vampire, a witch, and a werewolf.

Legacies fans, we have some bad news...
You'll have to wait a little longer for the final three episodes of Legacies Season 4.
The CW's Milwaukee affiliate shared the mind-boggling news Tuesday afternoon.
Instead of continuing as planned with a new episodes Thursdays at 9 p.m, leading to a season finale on May, 26, the series has been pushed off the air until June 2.
The season finale is now set for June 16.
No reason has been given for this decision, but it isn't anything new for the series.
Legacies, more than any other CW shows in recent years, has been randomly delayed at the last minute, leaving fans wondering what will become of their favorite series.
All we can do is speculate about why this decision was made, and there are some possibilities.
The CW has yet to renew or cancel the series, and given that Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow both got the pink slip,...

The CW has yet to renew or cancel Legacies, and we're growing more anxious about its prospects by the day.
Once upon a time, cancellations were rare on the network, but with the looming sale by Warner Bros. and Paramount, some shows are not making the cut.
More recently, Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow were both canceled, but we had to wait for weeks after their seasons wrapped for the formal decision.
Canceling a show before its season finale is a tough call, and it might make viewers bail on the remaining episodes, so we probably shouldn't expect a definite decision for a few weeks yet.
The network has dropped details about Legacies Season 4 Episode 20 -- the season finale -- and the episode marks Julie Plec's return to the series.
Plec was instrumental in bringing the series to life, having worked on both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
