Janine Eser is a South African/American writer. She is currently adapting Rachael Denhollander's memoir, WHAT IS A GIRL WORTH? for producers Basil Iwanyk and Mark Ciardi at game1. She wrote the screenplay adaptation of Trevor Noah's bestselling memoir, BORN A CRIME, for Paramount, with Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o attached to star. She wrote MADIBA, a six-part mini-series about Nelson Mandela (starring Laurence Fishburne on BET in 2017). She was the script editor and Associate Producer on the Academy Award winning film TSOTSI.
