THOMAS FARR BIO
A native of Bakersfield, California, Thomas Farr graduated from California State University, Northridge. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film, emphasizing Writing and Production. Tom's award-winning student short film "Aquaman in The Cast of the Angler" led to him developing an "Aquaman" pilot for New World Pictures. At the time of the "DC Aquaman" release in 2018, Thomas received acclaim for being the first live-action "Aquaman" film (Google: Thomas Farr "Aquaman in The Cast of the Angler" to read articles). The award- winning short film has garnered a considerable cult following.
Just out of film school, Tom worked in the elite mail room system at Triad Artists. Then, Head of the Mailroom and assistant in the Musical Acting Clients department.
After Triad, Tom moved into movie production at Fries Entertainment for three films. Later, Fries Entertainment optioned his spec script "Superpod," and a well- known independent optioned his spec script "Sharkman."
A few years later, Artisan Entertainment optioned "Rock 'n' Roll High School 3" with his writing and producer partner P.J. Soles.
Throughout his early career, Thomas returned to the agency world, where he worked at Spotlite Enterprises (Comedians), Variety Artists (Music), and Monster Talent (Music).
PM Entertainment (action films mini-studio) hired him into their production accounting department, where he specialized in payroll.
Tom exclusively worked for Showtime for ten years on "Californication," "House of Lies," and "Ray Donovan.". He has worked on over forty shows, including Feature Films, TV movies, TV Series and pilots.
Thomas has concentrated on writing spec scripts continuously since film school.
In addition, he has created and produced an independent comic book, "Bakersfield: Female Dick," and Executive Produced three albums with his daughter Olivia Fries Farr (check out YouTube and Spotify for musical tracks).
Just out of film school, Thomas Farr's mentors were Top Hollywood Agents, Chuck Fries, "Godfather of the T.V. Movie," and Writer/Director Jeffrey Bloom.
Thomas has exclusive rights to former boxer Bobby Quarry, and the real-life story of the legendary QUARRY boxing family. A famous podcast host, Joe Rogan, calls the Quarry brother's life "a famous story."
