Prolific composer ("Dry Bones"), arranger conductor and pianist,
educated at City College of New York and a music student of Otto Cesana
and Tim Timothy. He arranged for the dance orchestras of Ben Bernie and
Charlie Barnet, and composed a number of instrumental compositions for
the 101 Strings. He also was a member of The Three Suns instrumental
trio for a time. Joining ASCAP in 1950, his numerous popular-song and
instrumental compositions include "Rush House", "It's Dawn Again", "A
Dream of Love", "Shaga-Shaga-Shuffle", "Busy Holiday", "Moonlight
Romance", "Sun Shower", "Story of My Love", and "Carnival in
Rome".
