Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brown University and graduate
work at Rhode Island School of Design, Ms. Gossels, has been the
casting director, and in many cases a producer, for more than 90 film
productions in New York. Feature film casting credits include
"Something's Gotta Give" starring Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton,
"Godsend" starring Robert DeNiro, Philip Glass and Godfrey Reggio's
collaborative feature "Visitors", Joe Maggio's Sundance darling "Milk & Honey",
Duncan Roy's "Picture of Dorian Gray" starring David Gallagher,
Aleksa Palladino, and Christian Camargo, Lance Doty's Western feature
"Shoot First and Pray You Live" starring James Russo, Jim Gaffigan,
Richard Tyson and John Doman, Co-Producer and Casting Director
for William Heins' feature film "Humdinger" starring David
Moscow and most recently, Nemanja Bala's critically acclaimed indie feature "Love Hunter".
Ms. Gossels has also cast and produced more than 30 award winning short films, including the Academy Award winner "Zen and the Art of Landscaping" starring Mark Blum and Jacob Pitts, "Young Americans" starring Lukas Haas, "Wrigley" starring Peter Gerety, Matt Malloy and Tom Aldredge, "Walls" starring Norman Reedus and Jayce Bartok, "Herb" starring Amanda Peet", "Bright" starring Eric Stoltz, Academy Award nominee Joan Stein's "Solidarity" starring Michael Stuhlbarg, "5G" starring Ramon Rodriguez, "Falling Objects" starring Timothy Hutton, Melissa Leo and Mireille Enos, "Hi-Yah" starring Lynn Cohen, "Something for Henry" starring Sabrina Lloyd, "Daypass" starring James Urbaniak, "Blue Funk" starring Vincent Pastore, and one of her recent award-winning short films, "Happenstance" starring Margaret Colin and Jay O. Sanders, began airing on HBO this past year and "TUB", another one of Ms. Gossels' recent short films, premiered at Sundance last year. Ms. Gossels' upcoming short films include "Honey Flood" starring Julian Sands, as well as "Emunah" starring Rebecca Schull and Dan Ziskie and "The Last Day of Charlie Ray" starring Len Cariou and Maryann Plunkett, for both of which Ms. Gossels also served as a producer.
Ms. Gossels also casts for a wide range of television projects, including The Comedy Central Specials "Night of Too Many Stars" hosted by Jon Stewart and starring Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman, etc., HBO's "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver", segments for "The Daily Show", Sesame Street's short film series "The Child Resiliency Project", and for segments for NBC's "The Apprentice" and "Celebrity Apprentice". Ms. Gossels also handled all the specialty casting throughout two seasons of the IFC TV series "Z Rock" and for Disney's 2009 TV series "Disney's Celebration Showdown".
Upcoming television casting credits include the TV series "American Caravan", from Academy Award winning producer Jerome Gary.
In addition, Ms. Gossels cast TV promos, image campaigns and hosts for all the major networks, including for NBC's "The Event", FOX's "Gotham", "Sleepy Hollow" and upcoming series "Scream Queens", show opens for the Discovery Channel series "The Future Of", and principals for the television series "Mom's Cooking" for Lifetime Television, the Spike TV pilot "Get Your Sack Back", "Sesame Street Tilly", the Discovery Channel Original Movie "Perfect Disaster", and hosts for A&E, Nick@Nite and TV Land.
Over her 20 year career, Ms. Gossels has also cast thousands of major media campaigns and national network commercials (including many CLIO winners) for clients ranging from Maybelline to Merck to Microsoft and everything in between, and for preeminent production companies including Disney, Ridley Scott Associates, Viacom, Firstborn Multimedia and countless others.
Over the past few years, Ms. Gossels has also been the Casting Director for the exciting new hybrid entertainment production "The Ride" from the creators of Blue Man Group, Michael Counts of Counts Media and legendary comedy writer Bruce Vilanch, which is began its run in Times Square in 2011.
Finally, Ms. Gossels is also the producer and casting director for prestigious Sloan Foundation Award Winning Screenplay Reading Event at the Hamptons International Film Festival each year, for which she assembles stellar casts, including Melissa Leo, Richard Kind, Steve Guttenberg, Fisher Stevens, Michael Stuhlbarg, Harris Yulin, and Chris Bauer, among others. Ms. Gossels also serves as a juror at The Woodstock Film Festival, HIFF, and for the Student Academy Awards.
