Universal Pictures has debuted the trailer for ‘The Bad Guys 2,’ the new chapter from DreamWorks Animation’s 2022 action-comedy hit about a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws.

The guys struggle to find trust and acceptance in their newly minted lives as Good Guys when they are pulled out of retirement and forced to do “one last job” by an all-female squad of criminals.

Based on the New York Times best-selling book series by Aaron Blabey, The Bad Guys 2 reunites the film’s all-star cast and filmmakers.

Catch up with Bad Guys – and meet the Bad Girls – in DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys 2 trailer. The trailer confirms the Bad Guys are trying to be good, but that won’t be easy when they’re introduced to a trio of female villains: Kitty Kat, Pigtail, and Doom.

In an interview with The Wrap, director Pierre Perifel hinted at what’s happening with Wolf and the gang. “They’re struggling a little bit, going from job interviews to try and pay bills that they can’t afford, until they get captured by this trio of super villains and forced to do one last job,” said Perifel. “The movie is about testing Wolf’s determination to be a good guy. Did he make the right choice? That really is the big philosophical argument for him.”

Michael Jackson fans need to wait longer for Antoine Fuqua’s highly-anticipated biopic about the King of Pop to rock their world after Lionsgate announced delays for two of its films. The studio’s Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, is moonwalking to a 2025 Easter window (April 18-20 to October 3) while looking to dominate the box office during the bunny-themed holiday. In addition to telling Michael to “Beat It” to later next year, Lionsgate dated Aziz Ansari’s upcoming comedy, Good Fortune, for October 17, 2025. According to Deadline, Good Fortune stars Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen. It focuses on “a well meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Reeves) who meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy capitalist (Rogen).”

The Vampire Diaries is one of the best and most iconic teen drama fantasy series and it captured the hearts and minds of its audience for over eight years during its eight-season run. Developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, the teen fantasy horror drama series is based on the book series of the same name by author L.J. Smith and it follows Elena, who faces high school after just having lost her parents, and on her first day back she sees Stefan a brooding guy in a black jacket who is hiding a lot of things, for instance, his brother Damon and the fact that both of them are vampires. Exclusive: Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher) is the latest addition to Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic that Antoine Fuqua is directing for Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International, sources tell Deadline.

Hollywood has been obsessed with biopics for what seems like forever, but it's hard not to admit that our current film landscape is reaching critical mass with movies about famous people. Not everyone is thrilled that there’s a biopic being made about pop sensation Michael Jackson. The director of “Leaving Neverland,” the HBO documentary that delves into accusations of Jackson’s alleged child abuse, last month accused director Antoine Fuqua’s film of being “a complete whitewash” and that it aims to “completely rewrite the allegations and dismiss them out of hand.”

However at CinemaCon on Wednesday, “Michael” producer Graham King took the stage to say that the new biopic, currently in production, “will get into all of it.”

King promised “Michael” includes 30 songs and recreations of Jackson’s performances throughout his career but also depictions of “his life outside the public eye, things many people have never seen before.”

The cast of Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International’s forthcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael has come into focus lately with the casting of many of the film’s pivotal roles. The studios announced on Monday, March 25th that they have cast several new key roles in the highly anticipated film, now in production, with a group of individuals who have featured prominently throughout Michael’s life.

Chief among them is Larenz Tate, who plays Motown Records founder and impresario Berry Gordy – the man who redefined American music by developing and giving a national platform to such acts as Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Diana Ross & the Supremes, the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips – and the Jackson 5 – to name a few.

The Michael Jackson biopic Michael from Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International has added seven in key roles: Larenz Tate (Power Book II: Ghost), Kat Graham, Jessica Sula (Split), Liv Symone (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), Kendrick Sampson (Something from Tiffany’s), KeiLyn Durrel Jones (How to Die Alone), and Kevin Shinick.

Tate plays Motown Records founder and impresario Berry Gordy, with Graham as Diana Ross, lead singer of The Supremes; Sula as Michael’s older sister, La Toya; Symone as Motown artist Gladys Knight; Sampson as iconic songwriter, composer, and producer Quincy Jones; Jones as Jackson 5 security guard turned confidante to Michael, Bill Bray; and Shinick as American Bandstand host Dick Clark.

As previously announced, Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson leads the ensemble as Michael, with Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, and Juliano Krue Valdi among others set for key roles.

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” is embracing the Motown sound — announcing key castings including Larenz Tate as Motown Records founder Berry Gordy and Kat Graham as the legendary Diana Ross.

As the film chronicles Jackson’s rise to prominence — first as a member of the Jackson 5, then as a solo artist — the record label will factor in significantly. “Power” franchise star Tate (who coincidentally played “Thriller” producer Quincy Jones in 2004’s “Ray”) takes on the Motown impresario Gordy, who redefined American music by platforming such acts as the Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Diana Ross & the Supremes.

Graham portrays Ross, who, as lead singer of the chart-topping group, was asked to officially introduce the Jackson 5 to the world and remained a lifelong influence on Michael Jackson.

Exclusive: Actress Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) has signed with Untitled Entertainment for management, with partner Evan Hainey to run point on her behalf.

“Funny enough Evan helped start my career well over a decade ago and we have remained good friends ever since,” Graham told Deadline. “I have consistently turned to him for guidance over the years as I navigated my journey in this industry, and he has never steered me wrong. This is a natural alignment. I am very grateful to join forces with a great man and solid friend like him.”

Graham broke out with her series regular role as witch Bonnie Bennett across all eight seasons of The CW’s supernatural teen drama The Vampire Diaries, which aired between 2009 and 2017. Developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, the show based on L.J. Smith’s books had her starring alongside Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, and more.

Tyler Perry has wrapped production on the third movie in his four-picture deal with Amazon MGM Studios, a drama led by “P-Valley” and “Mea Culpa” star Shannon Thornton and “Run The World’s” Tosin Morohunfola.

Perry wrote, directed and produced the film, which recently wrapped filming on location in Colorado and at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta under the working title “Joy Ridge.”

“Amidst the picturesque landscapes of Colorado, Joy (Thornton) finds herself on a holiday trip with a man she envisions as ‘the one,” the film’s official logline reads. “However, her journey takes an enchanting turn as she stumbles upon someone who might just redefine her notions about the life she once knew back home.”

The legendary music mogul hosted the Pre-grammy Gala & Grammy Salute to Industry Icons on Saturday night (February 3) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Jon Bon Jovi got support from some very special people while attending the 2024 MusiCares Person Of The Year Honoring Jon Bon Jovi on Friday night (February 2) in Los Angeles.

The 61-year-old rock legend was joined by his wife Dorothea Hurley and daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The 34-year-old Vampire Diaries actress has been dating the master breathwork instructor and motivational coach since June of this year.
