Co-written by and starring Emrhys Cooper (“Dreamcatcher”), the film also represents Cooper’s directorial debut. He wrote it with Donal Brophy, who also co-stars. The duo also produced the feature.

Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures has acquired North American rights to The Shuroo Process, a comedic drama directed by Emrhys Cooper. Fiona Dourif, Donal Brophy, Tommy Dorfman, Cooper, Rainey Qualley, Olivia Sui, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Jeff Hephner and Cornelia Guest lead the cast of the pic, which will now hit theaters and on-demand day-and-date November 24.

The deal comes ahead of The Shuroo Process‘ world premiere Friday at the Woodstock Film Festival.

Cooper is making his directorial debut and penned the script with Brophy; the pair also are producers in the first project under their Idyllwild Pictures banner. The plot follows a New York City journalist (Dourif), frustrated with a failing publishing world and a dismal romantic life, who becomes infatuated with a charismatic guru (Brophy) and begins a journey of self-improvement. While most actors around the world are having an enforced rest due to the pandemic, Zac Garred is in demand. After shooting the horror film The Seance in Pennsylvania, the LA-based actor is heading to Montana next week for the drama Zero Road.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunities as it has been a sad state of affairs here in the Us,” says Garred, who first went to LA for pilot season in 2014. “I had a few mates in the industry who had to bail and head back to Australia.”

Her eyes are melted shut, which lends some weight to the idea that eyes are important in Twin Peaks -- Ruth Davenport (Mary Stofle) was missing an eye and it also appeared that Evil Cooper (MacLachlan) shot Phyllis Hastings (Cornelia Guest) through the eye.

Twin Peaks returned to TV ​on ​Sunday ​after 27 years and it was every bit as scary, twisted and confusing as the original -- though we expected nothing less from David Lynch.

And on Tuesday night, Muffie Potter Aston, Somers Farkas, Cornelia Guest, Grace Hightower and Karen LeFrak will add cameo dancer to their resumes as they perform in “Maple Leaf Rag” at the Martha Graham Dance Company’s gala.

Opera star Nathan Gunn's spooky Halloween performance in New Jersey on Saturday, October 30 was too frightening for one audience member who fainted during the show. The baritone was performing a private concert at the estate of British tycoon Richard Branson in Natirar, New Jersey for revelers including "Gossip Girl" star Matthew Settle and actress Cornelia Guest.

But Gunn's haunting rendition of a piece by Franz Schubert, sung in German, proved too spooky for one female audience member, who collapsed and sparked a panic. Two medics at the party tended to the unnamed woman, and she soon recovered.
