Paul Hackner is an award winning sound designer and mixer who was born in South Africa, raised in Los Angeles, and attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Paul's 20+ year career as a audio engineer and sound designer has included work on over 130 films and other projects. Notable feature projects include the The Incredible Hulk, Drive, Sinister, Insidious 3, The Revenant and the 2017 remake of Stephen King's It.
Although he's worked on Hollywood blockbusters, Paul continues to work with indie filmmakers on documentaries and features. Notable indies include the award winning documentary The Garden as well as Asia Argento's Misunderstood. Paul lives in Los Angeles with his wife Angela Hackner and his son Ari.
