Venom: The Last Dance Box Office (North America): Hits $130M( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Venom: The Last Dance, starring Tom Hardy, is not lost amid the tentpole releases. It is still hanging in there and has reached a remarkable milestone at the US box office. The film is facing tough competition from big-budget, star-studded films, including Red One, Gladiator II, and Wicked. The film is already the weakest in the franchise, and now it will be struggling more to earn at the cinemas, yet it has not given up, and Tom’s star power is still working its charms. Rumors suggest that Marvel Studios is still moving forward with plans for a Spider-Man and Daredevil crossover.
Initially planned for Spider-Man 4, the concept involved Spider-Man joining forces with Daredevil to take on the infamous Kingpin, who now serves as the Mayor of New York City.
The crossover was envisioned as a grounded, street-level storyline, centering on their battle against crime in the city.
Unfortunately, last year’s Hollywood strikes disrupted those plans. Now, Spider-Man 4 is set to align with a larger Multiverse narrative, bridging two major Avengers films—Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
This change marks a departure from the original street-level concept, pivoting instead toward a grander, high-stakes storyline.
However, Marvel may still revisit the street-level approach in Spider-Man 5. According to Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus, the relationships between Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Kingpin are expected to develop further.

Reports are swirling around that Marvel Studios has not shelved plans for a Spider-Man and Daredevil crossover.
Originally set for ‘Spider-Man 4,’ the idea was to have Spider-Man team up with Daredevil to take on the notorious Kingpin, now the Mayor of New York City.
This team-up was supposed to be a more grounded, street-level narrative, focusing on their fight against crime in the city.
Unfortunately, the Hollywood strikes last year threw a wrench into those plans. Now, ‘Spider-Man 4′ is poised to be a part of a larger narrative involving the Multiverse, sitting between two major Avengers titles—’Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’
This shift suggests a move away from the original street-level concept to a more expansive, high-stakes storyline.
However, it seems Marvel might revisit the street-level concept in ‘Spider-Man 5.’ According to Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus, the dynamics between Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Kingpin are set to evolve.

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe hasn’t been faring too well since teaming up with the MCU. Don’t get me wrong, Spider-Man’s standalone movies within the MCU have been an absolute triumph, swinging from one spectacular hit to the next. But let’s be honest, Sony’s left holding the bag of Spidey villains, and while Venom has been a surprisingly successful antihero, the rest hasn’t exactly made the leap from potential to profitable.

It’s fair to say the franchise started with promise but now teeters on the edge, with Venom as its lone, tragic figure desperately trying to keep the spark alive.

It was initially reported that Spider-Man 4 would be a street-level adventure pairing the web-slinger up with Daredevil to battle Mayor Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. New York City's Kingpin of Crime.
Had last year's Hollywood strikes not happened (with the movie released next summer), chances are these plans would've panned out. Instead, Spider-Man 4 is now sandwiched between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, all but ensuring it will be a high-stakes Multiversal adventure.
Ideally, Marvel Studios also needs to get Daredevil: Born Again season 2 on Disney+ before committing to this team-up but it does sound as if the plan is for Spider-Man 5 to revisit this concept.
According to The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, "[Spider-Man and Daredevil's] relationship ties into Kingpin, who will be hunting down Spider-Man as his main goal as Mayor is to eliminate all vigilantes in NYC as a way to elevate his underground side business. It plays out...

Spider-Man 4 must surely rank as the most highly anticipated superhero movies coming our way over the next couple of years and, as a result, we're likely to be bombarded by rumours right up until it swings into theaters a couple of summers from now.
Even yesterday, an apparent Sony Pictures Japan leak appeared to confirm recent reports that Tom Holland's Peter Parker will finally share the screen with Tom Hardy's Venom.
We've long wondered how Marvel Studios will top what we saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home when Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield assembled to do battle with a sinister quintet of villains.
Now, scooper @MyTimeToShineH brings word that, "Spider-Man 4 was described to me as the 'Biggest Spider-Man movie of them all.'" Take that as you will.
As always, it's best to take this with a pinch of salt but as the weeks and months go by,...

Robert Pattinson is the latest name to join Christopher Nolan’s next big project at Universal Pictures.
Pattinson joins the buzz-worthy cast of Lupita Nyong’o Zendaya and Anne Hathaway who were recently announced as having jumped on board. The trio join the previously cast Tom Holland and Matt Damon on the call-sheet.
It is thought that Damon, Holland, Hathaway, and now Pattinson are the core leads of the feature. Nyong’o and Zendaya are said to have supporting roles.
With no information forthcoming on a hint of a plot, ideas that have been flying around include a period vampire tale to a reimagining of ‘The Prisoner’ to a ‘Blue Thunder’-inspired LA helicopter cops story
Also in news – Tom Hardy stars in first-look images from ‘Havoc’

The upcoming Spider-Man 4 will contain another major crossover – if a press release published by Sony Pictures Japan is to be believed…
Following the huge commercial success of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, a number of reports suggested that Sony and Marvel were at loggerheads regarding the creative direction of the title character. Marvel reportedly wanted Spidey’s story to continue with a street-level fourth instalment and all of the signs at the end of No Way Home pointed in that direction, from the unveiling of the classic costume to the paring back of the series’ supporting cast.
Sony, presumably overjoyed by the film’s almost $2bn worldwide theatrical gross, was said to be keen on reprising the film’s crossover success, bringing back multiple Spider-blokes and continuing to probe at the multiverse – something that has served the studio well with its animated Spider-Verse films.

Back in September, we got word that two of the Dark Knight's most formidable foes are set to forces for a new live-action Dcu movie, with a Bane and Deathstroke project officially in development at DC Studios.
Details were few and far between and no director was attached at the time, but Captain America: Brave New World writer Matthew Orton was said to be working on the script.
A follow-up report suggested that other characters might also appear, as it wasn't clear whether Bane and Deathstroke "would be the central figures of the project." This led to speculation that it could actually be another supervillain team-up, possibly even a Secret Six movie.
James Gunn never actually commented on the report, but he has now confirmed that plans are in place to introduce Slade Wilson (at least) to the Dcu at some point.

In recent months, we've been bombarded by conflicting reports about Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' plans for Spider-Man 4. Despite initial reports about a street-level story featuring Daredevil and Mayor Wilson Fisk, Venom: The Last Dance changed the narrative.
After the final trailer introduced Knull, God of the Symbiotes, it was soon reported that the plan was for Spidey and Venom to team up for a battle with the King in Black.
The Venom threequel did little to dispel the notion and certainly didn't set up the crossover either. Now, a Sony Pictures Japan press release might have inadvertently confirmed plans for Tom Holland and Tom Hardy to finally share the screen.

It’s been more than six years since Gareth Evans released his most recent film, 2018’s “Apostle.” But that doesn’t mean the filmmaker has been sitting around not doing anything. Evans recently spoke to Empire about that.

Venom: The Last Dance Box Office (North America): Hits $125M( Photo Credit – YouTube )
Tom Hardy’s Marvel threequel has been pushed away from the #1 spot in the domestic box office list due to the release of Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans starrer Red One. However, Venom: The Last Dance still earned decent numbers this weekend. Scroll below for the deets.
The Red One, released in the theatres this Friday, resulted in a harsh drop in Venom 3’s collections. Tom’s threequel is currently the lowest-grossing film in the franchise. There is a drastic difference between the critics’ rating and the audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics gave it a poor 41%, but the fans rated it 81%. It has also become the highest-grossing comic book movie in China post-covid by surpassing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’s total collection.

Gareth Evans’ long awaited new film Havoc is (finally) coming to Netflix in 2025 after delays, and here are the details.
It’s been a long time coming, but the first film from Gareth Evans in over a half a decade is finally set for release in 2025. Getting here has been quite the road.
Gareth Evans made a huge impact on 21st century action cinema in 2011 when he wrote and directed The Raid, which introduced the world not only to the fierce Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat, but also to Iko Uwais, who dispatched body after body with brutal efficiency. 2014’s The Raid 2 upped the ante on the violence considerably, letting characters like Baseball Bat Man and Hammer Girl loose and featuring quite possibly the best prison brawl this century.
While an English language remake of The Raid remains in development hell, Evans has gradually built up a career this side of the pond,...

It’s been nearly five years since it was first announced that Tom Hardy would star in Havoc, a new action thriller from The Raid director Gareth Evans. The film has certainly been a long time coming, but it will finally be released on Netflix in 2025. Empire dropped a new image from Havoc featuring Hardy sending some poor bastard to the emergency room. You can check that out below, as well as a few more from Netflix itself.
As production wrapped up four years ago, you might be wondering what the hold-up has been; according to Evans, that came down to the difficulty in scheduling additional photography, which required some very specific people to be in the same place at the same time. However, the director promised the film would be worth the wait, and the delay was only beneficial. “It’s had a profound effect on the film,” he said.

This British-Australian actor came into the limelight with Curtis Hanson crime-thriller L.A Confidential where he played Detective Sergeant Edmund “Ed” Exley, an intelligent, ruthless, and morally ambitious fellow. While he was brilliant in the role, he was quietly overshadowed by the likes of Kevin Spacey & Russell Crowe. But his most widely known is Christopher Nolan’s psychological thriller Memento. Now a cult, Memento chronicled the life of Leonard who is vulnerable and confused because he cannot form new memories. After Memento, Pearce slowly subsided into the league of soul-less B-movies which didn’t do him any good. But after watching a few of his recent performances, I can ensure that Guy Pearce has still got it. He is one of the most underrated actors in the industry. Here are four movies of Guy Pearce that we recommend you watch right now.

Netflix is ready to release a thrilling action thriller that promises to stretch the genre’s boundaries. “Havoc,” starring Tom Hardy and directed by Gareth Evans, will give an exciting cinematic experience in 2025.
The film follows Hardy’s character, Detective Walker, on a desperate rescue mission involving the nephew of the city mayor. When a drug deal goes out of control, Walker must negotiate a difficult urban setting to save the politician’s son.
Director Gareth Evans, best known for his work on The Raid, brings his characteristic high-intensity action choreography to the film. In an interview with Empire magazine, Evans emphasized the film’s distinctive approach. “When it comes to a film called Havoc, we deliver on the action front,” remarked the executive producer. But with Tom Hardy, you also get an intensely muscular central performance with real depth.”
Hardy’s role is set to be more than just an action hero.

It’s hard to imagine a time when Ubisoft was actually the leading pioneer of innovation in gaming. But back in the day, they weren’t just churning out cookie-cutter open worlds—they were shaping entire genres with groundbreaking series like Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, and the early Assassin’s Creed games.

These days, though, pure stealth games seem about as rare as a Ubisoft game that isn’t a flop at launch. While they continue to work on a remake of the original Splinter Cell (fingers crossed they remember what made it special), fans of the genre are left wondering if there’s any room left for games that prioritize patience over spectacle.
The irony isn’t lost on anyone—the company that once revolutionized stealth gaming now treats it as an optional afterthought. But...

If you’re a Tom Hardy fan, you’ve always wanted to see him cause real havoc. Sure, across his career he’s manufactured mayhem, proffered pain, brought memorable muscle – but you’ve never seen him go really all-out. That’s about to change. Next year finally brings the release of Havoc, the new film from The Raid legend Gareth Evans, returning from the high-octane small-screen antics of Gangs Of London, and ready to send Hardy into the hardman stratosphere.
The film has been a longtime coming – partly owing to additional photography that required a cast and crew of booked-and-busy brawlers to all be available. But as Evans promises, Havoc is worth the wait. “It’s had a profound effect on the film,” he tells Empire of the extra shooting. “It allowed me to better streamline it, and make it what it was always intended to be, which is a blistering,...

Dwayne Johnson’s latest holiday movie “Red One” topped the weekend box office. Still, questions remain over its hefty $250 million production budget. The film, starring Johnson as Santa’s chief of security and Chris Evans as a bounty hunter, debuted in 4,032 cinemas to mixed reviews.
Despite tepid critical reviews (the film now has a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), audiences responded positively, awarding it a promising A- CinemaScore. The film has already grossed $50 million abroad, increasing its total to $84.1 million.
Amazon MGM has confidence in its theatrical plan. “Whether or not people like it, the value of these movies is different for our business model,” said Kevin Wilson, the company’s head of theatrical distribution. He underlined that the theater premiere is a huge marketing campaign before the picture hits streaming services.
However, industry analysts remain unconvinced. “The production cost was estimated at $250 million. “That’s a lot of money for a Santa Claus story,...

After beating Bad Boys: Ride or Die’s global haul, Tom Hardy’s Venom: The Last Dance is after Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’s collection. Venom 3 experienced a harsh drop on Friday at the US box office, which might be because of the release of Red One, starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. Scroll below for the deets.
The movie was made on a reported budget of $120 million, and although it might be underperforming compared to its predecessors, it is still doing better than Joker 2. Beetlejuice Beetleuice, on the other hand, was released in September and is one of the successful movies of the year. It is currently the 8th highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2024. “Gladiator II” entered the international box office arena with $87 million from 63 markets, a powerful start for the quarter-century-in-the-making sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 best picture winner “Gladiator.”
This marks the biggest international R-rated opening weekend for Paramount Pictures as well as the best overseas debut for Scott, whose highest-grossing films include “The Martian” ($630 million globally), “Gladiator” ($465 million globally) and “Prometheus” ($403 million).
“Gladiator II” also scored in Imax with $7 million from 453 screens, standing among the company’s top three international debuts of the year.
The sequel enjoyed the strongest launch in the United Kingdom with $11.4 million from 722 locations, followed by France with $10.3 million from 729 locations, Spain with $5.6 million from 411 locations, Australia with $5 million from 353 locations and Mexico with $4.7 million from 922 locations. The sword-and-sandal epic, starring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington, touches down in North America and Canada on Nov. 22, where it’ll compete for screens with Universal’s big-budget musical adaptation of “Wicked.

“Red One,” a Christmas-set action comedy starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Santa’s head of security, unwrapped a soft $34.1 million from 4,032 North American theaters in its box office debut.
Those ticket sales were enough to top the domestic box office, ending the three-week reign of “Venom: The Last Dance.” However, the Amazon MGM film cost $250 million before accounting for global marketing efforts of roughly $100 million. So “Red One” is bound to spark yet another debate about what qualifies as a success at a time when streaming services are scrambling traditional business models. Case in point: “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which was released by Warner Bros., was instantly labeled a flop with $37 million to start against a $200 million budget. But last year’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” from Apple and director Martin Scorsese, was categorized more favorably after opening to $23 million despite a similarly huge price tag.

An Agent Venom film could fit right into the Ssu, and there can be multiple routes that Sony could go with the character. However, there is one route that the studio could go to make the character even more interesting, by bringing in an actor from one of their established Spider-Man universe, as the Flash Thompson of this universe.

Few spy films delve into the murky waters of human psychology and institutional intrigue as masterfully as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Tomas Alfredson’s 2011 adaptation of John le Carré’s classic novel remains a towering achievement in the espionage genre, eschewing high-octane action for a meticulous, cerebral dissection of loyalty, betrayal, and the heavy toll of a life lived in shadows. This isn’t just a spy thriller—it’s a character-driven masterpiece that redefined the modern spy film.
The story begins with a chilling premise: there is a mole at the highest levels of British Intelligence, known as “The Circus.” When disgraced operative Ricki Tarr (Tom Hardy) stumbles upon evidence of the betrayal, retired agent George Smiley (Gary Oldman) is drawn out of forced retirement to root out the double agent. Smiley, a man of few words but piercing intellect, embarks on a methodical investigation that peels back layers...

Even actors can be starstruck. James Marsters proved that when auditioning for "Star Trek," an experience he does not look back on fondly.
Marsters was and is most famous for playing Spike, the bleach blond, leather-duster wearing vampire limey on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." Spike was the one vampire on the show who was too popular for Buffy to slay. After debuting in season 2 as a villain, he stuck around until the end, became a hero and even love interest for Buffy, and then jumped ship for the final season of spin-off "Angel."
TV writers are nerds, and "Buffy" is the north star for a generation of them. It's no surprise that Marsters has parlayed his time as Spike into a stable career in genre TV. He played Brainiac on "Smallville," the origin of Superman retold for the "Buffy" generation. Jane Espenson, a "Buffy" writer who showran "Caprica" (a "Battlestar Galactica...
