Inger Worren(1908-1997)
- Actress
Inger Worren was daughter of merchant Olai Worren and Antonette Andreassen, the family lived in Ålesund, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Inger was one of the youngest of a large group of siblings. She enjoyed being a narrator, and did so in her youth and at school performances. After completing business gymnasium, (1927) she tried to be accepted into a theater as a student. The attempt fails, and after studying as a nurse, she worked for some years at a hospital in Oslo.
In 1934 she was one of three chosen as a future film-actress, this probably opens a door to a student contract at Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim in 1937. She stayed at this theater most of her career, except from 13 years at Rogaland Theater in Stavanger. (1949-1962) She was predicted a film career; but she sadly got only two roles on the screen, in a children's film in 1956, and as a strict but fair mother in a television series at the end of her long career. (1980) She also did some work for The Radio Theater.
