      He and his brother Carmelo formed a pop duo (La Bionda) back in the 1970s which is considered a pioneer of the "Italo-disco" movement of the following years. They had a few worldwide hit singles between 1978 and 1981, including "Bandido" and "One For You, One For Me", before concentrating their work mainly into music for film and TV the following years.
