Sammie June Lanham was born May 7, 1926 in Oklahoma. She graduated from
Texas Technical College (now Texas Tech University) in 1949 with both a
BA and BCA in Art. In 1950, she moved to California, where, in 1951 she
began her animation career with Walt Disney Animation Studios.
After leaving Disney, Ms. Lanham continued her career at Hanna-Barbera, Warner Brothers, Palph Bakshi and other studios. Her talents can also been seen in many television commercials, including work on such animated spokesanimals as Charlie the Tuna, Tony the Tiger, The Jolly Green Giant, and the Keebler Elves.
