Andrew Garfield has found himself in hot water with the Lgbtq community after saying, “I am a gay man right now, just without the physical act” — and revealing that he prepared for his new role as a gay man by watching RuPaul’s Drag Race with friends.

The 33-year-0ld actor is currently staring in the critically acclaimed London revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, in which he plays Prior Walter — a gay man battling the reality of AIDS during the height of the 1980s crisis that killed hundreds of thousands in the gay community.

During a Nt Platform discussion on Monday, the Amazing Spider-Man alum talked about how he prepared for the role — admitting at first that his “big concern” was “what right did I have to play this wonderful gay role” as a man who currently identifies as straight.

“As far as I know, I am not a gay man,” Garfield, who formerly had a high-profile relationship with Emma Stone, began, the Gay Times reported. “Maybe I’ll have an awakening later in my life, which I’m sure will be wonderful and I’ll get to explore that part of the garden, but right now I’m secluded to my area, which is wonderful as well. I adore it.”...

This week, Marvel Studios released an official video, which gave viewers a behind-the-scenes peek at the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. One interesting thing we see in this video is a piece of concept art that shows the Asgardian Avenger Thor and furry Guardian of the Galaxy Rocket Raccoon fighting together. The illustration shows us that the mighty Thor's choice in weapon in Infinity War is not his trusty hammer Mjolnir, but rather what seems to be the axe he used in his youth, called Jarnbjorn.

The Little Film Company has added true crime thriller Last Rampage: The Escape of Gary Tison to its slate for next month’s American Film Market (Afm).

Currently in post-production, Last Rampage is the story of the real life 1978 prison escape by convicted murderer Tison and a fellow inmate, which led to Tison and his sons going on a killing spree across several Us states.

Dwight Little (Murder at 1600) directs from a script by Alvaro Rodriguez and Jason Rosenblatt based on the book about Tison by James W Clarke.

The film stars Robert Patrick, Heather Graham, Molly C Quinn and William Shockley and is produced by Eric M Breiman and Robert Patrick and co-produced by Sandy Little and Alvaro Rodriguez.

Will Marvel and Disney let the franchises die after the cast leaves or will a new cast take over?

Shmowzow! Adventure Time #28 is sadly less than mathematical.

Adventure Time the cartoon is a work of inspired foolishness set within a post-apocalyptic dystopian society. Adventure Time the comic book may have the same setting but it’s foolishness is anything but inspired. Forced would be a more accurate term.

The first story in Adventure Time #28 is a bland Ghostbusters ripoff featuring a group called the Ghost Destroyers. The Ghost Destroyers are summoned by Princess Bubblegum to catch Finn and Jake after they become ghosts. Around the time that the containment unit bursts and all the ghosts previously caught by the Ghost Destroyers escape to wreak havoc, it will become apparent that flipping...

So I got an e-mail from ‘Minimum Wage’ author Bob Fingerman regarding my most recent criticism of his comic. He answered one question: “Regarding the ‘By Bob Fingerman’ tag on #2, the design of the whole cover apes that of sleazy spinner-rack adult novels that littered drugstores, etc., in the ’60s and ’70s…” I definitely didn’t pick up on this so I very much appreciate his illumination on the subject. “As for the ‘Bob Fingerman’s’ on all other issues,” he contiues, “that’s partly a nod to the ego of John Carpenter (whose name as possessive adorns all his movie titles) and also a practical/pragmatic nod to branding. Unseemly, perhaps, but kind of necessary.” I’m definitely interested in why Bob felt it was necessary but it’s strictly a matter of curiosity and not one of disagreement.

But he also got to the meat of my objections...

Everyone’s tooting the Image horn, and with good reason, but they’re not the only source of excitement in the world of funny books these days. We’ve got horror, fantasy, multiple personalities, rock and roll gods, science fiction, warped Disney rides, and all sorts of other intensity heading our way. If you can’t spend $10 to see a movie, try forking over three or four dollars for an issue of one of these beauties…

The X-Men aren't exactly lacking in firepower, but one of their most valuable weapons is their resident telekinetic ninja Psylocke, and for good reason. Aside from being able to “ask” someone to make her waffles at anytime with her telepathy, she can also create telekinetic constructs, which is a fancy way of saying she can create a crossbow with her mind. I think we can all agree that is awesome, and it seems the cosplay community thinks so too. While most of these pictures feature the classic Jim Lee era outfit, I was able to find a few modern and alternate versions of the character as well, so take a gander at some of the best Psylocke cosplay around.

Somehow between the on-set injuries and all the Christopher Eccleston praise, news of Chris O'Dowd's casting in "Thor: The Dark World" slipped by unnoticed. The "Bridesmaids" actor's involvement, as reported by Indiewire, adds a whole new Earth-bound dimension to the out-of-this-world film, and it clarifies a tweet the actor posted last November.

The climax of the latest "Iron Man 3" trailer was packed with armor, hinting that it won't just be Tony Stark and James Rhodes donning a suit in the film.
