Ben Peyton

Born in Bath in 1977, Ben Peyton was trained at the Guildford School of
Acting, where he won the GSA Acting Prize, Poetry Cup and The Regrave
Scholarship.
Ben is best known for his work as PC Ben Hayward in the hugely popular ITV1 Drama series 'The Bill'. He was a regular first appearing in the show in 2000 and leaving in 2002 when he was tragically killed, along with 5 other police officers, in a petrol bomb explosion during the Sun Hill race riots of 2002.
His other television appearances include Warrant Officer Hill in Steven Spielbergs' 'Band Of Brothers', James Jenson in 'Emmerdale', Sebastian Street in 'Welcome To Orty Fou' and most recently in 'Holby City' as Andrew Cusan. Film credits include 'Bridget Jones' Diary' and 'Nine Lives'. Ben has also appeared in numerous commercials, Idents and corporate films.
Theatre credits include 'Bent', 'A Streetcar Named Desire', 'The Rose Tattoo', 'Road', 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' and 'Dick Wittington & His Wondercat'.
In 2008, Ben had starring roles in two stage productions at Guilford's Electric Theatre. In June, he starred as Serge in Yazmina Reza's award winning play 'Art' and in November he starred as Stanhope in a sell-out production of 'Journey's End', a role originally played by Sir Laurence Olivier.
Ben is also an established Voiceover artist and narrated the Channel Five series 'Make Me A Supermodel' for Tiger Aspect Productions as well as being the voice of the Sibelius music education software 'Groovy City'.
In his personal time Ben is an avid sportsman, being a National Squash Champion and is an avid reader of thrillers, adventure and fantasy novels. Most Wednesdays he'll be at the cinema taking advantage of Orange Wednesdays.
