Valerie Planche

Valerie Planche is a director, actor, and facilitator working professionally in Film, Television and Theatre for over 30 years. Originally from Montreal, she studied at The National Theatre School of Canada, Concordia University and recently completed her graduate work, earning an MFA from the University of Alberta where she garnered a Graduate teaching Award. She is an actor, director and instructor. Most recently Valerie was a guest instructor for the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. She has also been a regular on Caitlans Way, and Honey I Shrunk the Kids prior to her 5 seasons for Blackstone. Other film credits include Burn Your Maps, InControl, It's Not My Fault and I Don't Care Anyway, The Right Kind of Wrong, Brokeback Mountain, In Cold Blood, Shanhai Noon and The Jack Bull. Television series include Heartland, North of 60, Terminal City and Tom Stone. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Valerie has an MFA from the University of Alberta. She was awarded the 2015 Gina Wilkinson Prize and has over fifty professional credits on stage as well as TV and Film and has won numerous awards and special recognition.
