Was interrupted by director Tom Tykwer when conducting an orchestra while they were playing a very high string cluster. Apparently, the director was irritated by hearing a minor third (inside a 10 note cluster!). When they repeated the track playing the exact same notes, the director was happy.

Used to play keyboards in several Prog-rock groups as a teenager. He still likes to listen to Yes, Rush, Marillion and can play every Genesis song from the 70s on the piano by memory. Furthermore, he claims to be the living proof that there are no groupies for Keyboarders.

Attended the Catholic St Vinzenz Pallotti Public school for boys in Germany. In the school choir, he was the principal soprano for two years.
