Julien’s Auctions announced the launch of the exclusive, online charity auction Music Health Alliance Second Annual Handwritten Lyrics Auction at juliensauctions.com for advance bidding beginning Friday, October 15th, 2021 to coincide with Heal The Music Day.

The auction will start closing in real time and in lot order for live bidding at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, November 1st, 2021. Proceeds will benefit Music Health Alliance whose mission is to Heal the Music by providing access to healthcare through services that protect, direct and connect music professionals with medical and financial situations.

Five musical superstars have joined forces in the fight against breast cancer, releasing a new song – “Pink”.

The new single features Dolly Parton, Monica, Jordin Sparks, Sara Evans and Rita Wilson – who herself is a breast cancer survivor. This special collaboration benefits Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization.

The song was produced by Victoria Shaw and co-written with Erin Kinsey and Jodi Marr. Victoria Shaw is a singer/songwriter/producer known for iconic hits like Garth Brooks’ “The River,” Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera’s “Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” among a multitude of others with recorded songs for artists such as Faith Hill, Billy Ray Cyrus, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, Olivia Newton-John, and many more artists. James Shigeta and Glenn Corbett play two cops investigating a stripper’s murder in Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo. Ramping up the tension is Victoria Shaw as a key witness who both gumshoes fall for. Sam Leavitt (The Defiant Ones) was responsible for the memorably moody cinematography.

Their selection this time around has a couple of prime gems, several straight crime thrillers and domestic jeopardy tales, and also a couple of interesting Brit imports. They aren’t really ‘Noir’ either, but they’re still unexpected and different. The top title is Don Siegel’s incomparable The Lineup, but also on board is a snappy anti-commie epic by André De Toth. Drew Scott is a (married) man of many talents. The Hgtv star married his longtime girlfriend, Linda Phan, in a gorgeous ceremony in Puglia, Italy, in May, and he wrote an original song for Linda to mark the occasion! The couple shared their big day in a special Property Brothers episode called "Linda and Drew Say 'I Do'" that aired June 2, and Drew featured some of the footage in a music video for his song, "You Chose Me." Drew wrote the song with songwriters Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson, he told TLC, and he surprised Linda with it the day of their wedding.

Another great Samuel Fuller film on Blu-ray — this one is a crime tale set in downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo, that forms an interracial romantic triangle. It’s risky for its year because of the sexual dynamics — a Japanese-American man falls in love with a Caucasian woman. Fuller’s approach is years ahead of its time, even if Columbia’s sales job was a little weird.
