Michael Shure is a National Correspondent for NewsNation. Shure was Senior National Correspondent and Los Angeles Bureau Chief for i24 News, the international cable network, and covered electoral politics, and breaking news from around the United States for Cheddar News. He was Chief Political Correspondent for Al Jazeera America, working with the network during its' entire three-year run to provide political reporting and analysis to channels all over the world.
Previously, he anchored "The War Room with Michael Shure," a one-hour news and political show airing weeknights on Current TV. At Current, Shure was the Political Correspondent and anchor across the network's programming, including for The Young Turks show. Michael is known to The Young Turks audience as "Epic Politics Man," and has been with the online network since its formation, including as host of the interview program "Reasonably Shure." Michael was a correspondent for CNN's "NewsStand" series, profiling new entertainment talent for the network. He worked at WNBC in New York, and is an alumnus of the famed NBC Page program.
Michael has performed with Los Angeles' Groundling Theater and has had small roles in films and TV series ranging from "Showgirls" to "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
Michael was born and raised in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Los Angeles with his son, Owen.
