Marc Siciliani was born to a hard working middle class family in Modesto, CA. Where his family were farmers and produce salesman. His father having joined a new supermarket chain as Produce Director for Save Mart Stores. Marc worked consistently as a child, Racking Leaves in the neighbor for 25 cents a lawn. To a young adult working in the fields, picking produce; Tomatoes, Berries, Grapes, Peaches, to Pitching each summer 2000 Watermelons a day to up to 25 Save Mart Stores. When Marc first discovered the performing arts and began a life in the theatre.
At the ripe age of 14, as Freshman at Grace M. Davis High School he got the lead in Cinderella of Laurelland - Prince, and was instantly hooked. From1969 to 1979, Marc performed his Stock years with a Community Theatre Company that was just beginning at Modesto High School. Modesto Youth Theatre. MYT did 2 musicals each summer: Cinderella - Dancer, Music Man - Dancer, Oklahoma - Jud Frye, South Pacific - Luther Billis, Leave it to Jane - Billy Bolton, On The Town - Dancer, West Side Story - Bernardo, Bye Bye Birdie - Conrad Birdie. Marc pursued his studies at the University level. But as he was finishing up an AA Degree at Modesto Junior College, he was cast at the College as the Lead in his first Dramatic Play in Modesto, The Glass Menagerie - Tom Wingfield, to excellent reviews. Marc was now 21 and ready to begin the next faze of his career.
Having graduated with a B.A.in Drama/Theatre at the University of California Irvine, UCI : The Apple Tree - Adam, Streetcar Named Desire - Steve, Guys and Dolls - Benny South Street, My Fair Lady - Harry and On Your Toes - Dancer. With instructors as Donald Saddler, Eugene Loring, Roy Fitzell. El Gabriel, Robert Cohen, Ashley Carr, Stuart Duckworth and Brewster Mason, Ian McCallan, Ben Kingsley. Upon graduation and the death of his youngest brother, Frank Siciliani Jr., age (21) Hang-gliding in the Central Valley. Marc hitch-hiked across the country selling everything and moved to New York City to study and become the artist he dreamed of. Knowing little about the strenuous life of becoming a professional actor.
In h1980 Marc having return from performing his first professional East Coast Summer Stock in Manchester, NH at the Capital Theatre; Hello Dolly - Dancer & Fiddler on the Roof - Dancer. He would return to getting first leading role in NYC in the Off Off Broadway Revival Production of, A Hatful of Rain - Johnny Pope, garnering positive notices and reviews. Marc also being an accomplish musical theatre performer and having recently studied for two years with the Joffrey School of Ballet, in NYC, was soon cast in the European Internationally Acclaimed Production of West Side Story - as Bernardo. This allowed him to join (AEA) stage union and performing in France, Switzerland, Germany and Italy, In over 600 Sold Out performances with Standing Ovations. Marc finally returned to NYC.
In the summer of 1985, Marc moved to Santa Fe, NM where he was immediately cast in an NBC Western - MOW, Independence - Montenurro, making him eligible to join (SAG) film union. With more regional theatre parts such as: Zoo Story -Jerry, The Real Thing - Brodie, Amadeus -Venticello, Those The River Keeps - Phil, And the Winner Is - Tyler Johnes, and his 2014, 40 year rival of, South Pacific - Luther Billis, with Modesto Performing Arts, @ the Gallo Center for the Arts Modesto. MPA, formerly MYT, is celebrating 50 + years of professional community theatre. The last 35 years of performances are in Marc's Credits for Film, Television and Commercials that continues to grow with each passing day. Marc is committed and truly grateful for the will power to continue as an artist. "If your not in the game....you can't win" "Creation is the name of the game". MS
