Tim is a freelance Director of Photography / Cinematographer working mostly in the Seattle-Portland metro area. He is an equipment owner-operator specializing in documentary, commercial and corporate projects.
Tim started shooting Super-8 movies in Rhode Island as a youngster. He moved to New York City and worked as a location assistant on studio feature films and television shows, learning the ropes from some of Hollywood's greatest producers and crews.
In 1991 Tim relocated to Seattle and started shooting short film, independent features and music videos. Tim took a hiatus from film production from 1995-2002 to run a small web development company, building complex web applications for clients, and creating the Cinematography.com business which he continues to own and operate.
Tim has shot several award winning projects, including short films for the Seattle International Film Festival. A 2008 PBS documentary Tim shot for WNET was nominated for a national Emmy award.
