Michael Walker has viewed the world through a camera lens for most of
his life. Michael has a strong background in lighting, portrait and
commercial photography that started as a small child. He learned these
skills from his father, a professional photographer owner of Cameo
House Photography for over 45 years. Michael attended Newport Harbor
High School, in Orange county, California. As a freshman there he
purchased his first 16mm motion picture camera and started shooting
game films for the local football coaches to evaluate their teams. He
continued filming high school and college games as well as working in
the laboratory processing film during his college education at Orange
Coast Community College. He then attended The American Film Institute
in Hollywood choosing cinematography as his major. After graduating
from AFI, Michael worked as an assistant cameraman honing his skills by
watching some of the true masters of cinematography at work. He
continued working his way up through the ranks of the camera department
on many notable films. Michael has lensed numerous music videos,
commercials and independent feature films. Michael is married, his wife
Jennifer works as an Inclusion Specialist for severely handicapped
children for the Los Angeles School District. Jennifer is a Native of
Cleveland, Ohio.
