David Weisenberg
- Actor
- Producer
David Weisenberg bears a bit of a physical resemblance to Danny DeVito, but he has the neurotic energy of Woody Allen. Although he has successfully played everything from strong dramatic roles to over-the-top sketch comedy, David's strength is his astute, down-to-earth comic sensibility, and he really shines in realistic, grounded comedy. Some notable film and TV appearances include the pilot for 'Eligible Dentist' with Gene Wilder (NBC), the pilot for 'The Privateers' (with Karl Urban), the pilot for 'The Adventures of Megabyte Man' (Lasky Productions), a recurring role on 'The Eric Andre Show' (as Eric's father), a recurring role on 'Lace' (Kemy Time Productions), 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', 'iCarly', 'Monk', 'Veep', 'Transparent', 'Young Sheldon', 'Magpie Funeral' (Cinema Partners), and 'How I Met Your Father'. David has performed in more than 30 plays, including Henry Jaglom's first produced play, 'A Safe Place'. Other theatre credits range from farce ('Room Service', by Allen Boretz and John Murray) to Shakespeare (Peter Quince in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'). David trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse with Milton Katselas for about 15 years, and also with Jeffrey Tambor, Jocelyn Jones, Gary Imhoff, and Kimberly Jentzen.
