Married Japanese actress/model and pop singer Kimika Yoshino in Tokyo
in 2002 and relocated there in 2003. Has been active as a director in
the current wave of low budget horror film sequels, many of which have
not yet been distributed outside Japan. Frequently confused with other
filmmakers, he is currently writing a book to set the record straight
on his past, the projects he did and did not work on, his experiences
with productions in the United States, and his long association with
Japanese avant-grade cinema.
