San Francisco radio host Jeffrey Vandergrift, 55, has been found dead a month after he went missing.

The San Francisco Police Department stated that his body was found on Wednesday afternoon. The police responded to an alert at Pier 39 involving a person in the water. Officers and medics found Vandergrift and pronounced him dead at the scene. There was no evidence of foul play.

On Thursday, Vandergrift’s radio station, WiLD 94.9, announced his passing on Twitter and asked listeners to keep his family and friends in their thoughts and prayers.

Vandergrift was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2021. A couple of hours before he was last seen, he spoke about his poor health. “The body and the pain and all that stuff, I can handle.

President Donald Trump‘s administration on Wednesday revoked Obama-era guidelines telling public schools to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their gender identities.
