Dan was raised in the Yorkshire Dales and studied law before entering the film industry as a runner where he worked for twenty years on a number of studio films, including all the Harry Potters, several marvel films and two Ridley Scott films. His past projects as a director and producer include BAFTA nominated short film Love you, Joseff Hughes, multi-award winning coming-of-age feature film Lad: A Yorkshire Story (also as writer and editor) and more recently the worldwide critically acclaimed HBO/Sky feature documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived.
