After delivering two critical and commercial disappointments with Morbius and Madame Web, Sony Pictures desperately needs a win. It's hardly a surprise then that the studio is pulling out all the stops for Venom: The Last Dance.
The studio has partnered with a long list of brands and celebrities to promote the threequel and Venom has now paid a visit to Hot Ones. Forced to eat a series of increasingly fiery hot wings, it doesn't take long for Eddie Brock to lose his sh*t.
With any luck, there are plans for Tom Hardy to be a guest on the actual Hot Ones show because something tells us that would be a lot of fun.
For now, though, Venom reels off plenty of funny one-liners as he attempts to cool off with the best saved for last: "It's like licking Satan's nut sack!" Now there's something we bet you...

Venom: The Last Dance is being billed as an "epic conclusion" to the Sony Pictures trilogy and possibly the last time Tom Hardy transforms into Marvel's Lethal Protector.
However, if recent rumours are to be believed, the plan is for Eddie Brock to make the leap to the MCU for Spider-Man 4, a movie at least one insider believes will be titled Spider-Man: King in Black.
We'll see what happens but after Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home's mid-credits teases, many fans are eager to see Spidey and Venom finally cross paths on screen.
In the meantime, we have three more eye-catching new posters for Venom: The Last Dance showcasing some awesome artwork. At least two of them make a point of including the Venomized horse, though we don't anticipate that receiving any more than a few minutes of screentime.

Venom: The Last Dance is fast approaching but whether it will be the palette cleanser fans need after Joker: Folie à Deux remains to be seen.
Recent rumours have led us to believe the threequel will have major implications for Spider-Man 4 and the Multiverse Saga, so even if you're not a fan of the divisive franchise, this instalment may be worth checking out.
Today, we have a new TV spot for Venom: The Last Dance teasing Eddie Brock and the Symbiote's battle with Knull's monstrous Xenophage. With the latter forced to face his creator, is his time nearly up?
To go with that teaser, we have an international poster, a new banner, and another promotional tie-in which sees Venom try his hand at being a rapper.

A new TV spot for Venom: The Last Dance has been released and, boy, if you're a fan of this franchise, you might end up with a tear in your eye because things aren't looking good for Eddie Brock.
The teaser leans heavily into the idea that this is the end of the line for the anti-hero, something made evident when a tearful Eddie talks to Venom about their dashed hopes to become a "Lethal Protector."
We also have a new promo featuring NFL quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott, inserted into a Venom: The Last Dance scene with Eddie and Venom making their way through the desert before encountering a horse that's then "Venomized."
Taking to Instagram earlier this week to address his future as Venom, Tom Hardy said, "Thankyou for a great time - and 7 years. I’ve had the best experience @Sony working with Venom -...

With tickets for Venom: The Last Dance now on sale, we have an official look at some of the popcorn buckets and theater merchandise which will be available across the U.S. later this month.
Before getting too excited, those busts of a comic-accurate Venom and Anti-Venom don't appear to be tied to the threequel in any way. Instead, like that recently revealed cable tidy, they're products which can be found elsewhere online.
Those popcorn buckets, on the other hand, are based on Venom: The Last Dance and will surely be a must-have for any fan of Sony's Symbiote.
The popularity of popcorn buckets has skyrocketed over the past year or two, becoming must-have collector's items in the process. And, if you miss out on them, prepare to pay a premium on eBay!

The actor who has reportedly been cast as the villainous Knull in Venom: The Last Dance was revealed last night, and we may now know how he will bring the character to life on screen.
Since this is something the studio may be attempting to keep under wraps until the movie is in theaters, we're still being careful about (potential) spoilers.
According to Daniel Richtman and several other online scoopers, Knull will played by none other than Andy Serkis.
Serkis - who directed Venom: Let There Be Carnage - is "expected to reprise the role in future Sony/Marvel projects, which means we could be seeing a whole lot more of Knull." This gels with previous rumors that Knull will be the main villain of Spider-Man 4, with Venom (Tom Hardy) joining forces with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) to battle the potentially world-ending threat.

When the news broke that Tom Hardy would play Eddie Brock in Venom, it was received positively by fans. However, in place of the hardened reporter from the comics, the Lethal Protector became an unwilling goof dragged along for the ride by his alien suit.
Hardy seemed to have fun in the role and, three years after Venom was released, we got Venom: Let There Be Carnage in 2021. Now, we're just weeks away from Venom: The Last Dance and the actor continues to say this will be his last time playing the character.
Or is he?
Taking to Instagram, Hardy said, "Thankyou for a great time - and 7 years. I’ve had the best experience @Sony working with Venom - this is me and the big guy last outing going out with a Bang!!! Come see us off - last in the trilogy and done ❤️ we have had such a great time Thankyou.

Tom Hardy has hinted that ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will be his final appearance in the franchise. The 47-year-old actor starred as Eddie Brock and the Symbiotic anti-hero in the 2018 original flick and its sequel ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ three years later, though Hardy has now suggested the upcoming third film really will be his last dance in Sony’s superhero universe. In a recent post from the VenomMovie Instagram account, he commented: "That’s all she wrote for me and the big guy we promise to make this the best of them all. "We’ve loved making these. Tickets for Venom: The Last Dance went on sale yesterday and another round of posters has now followed that first batch.

The recent final trailer for Sony Pictures' Venom: The Last Dance revealed that the threequel would introduce the villainous Knull, and fans have been speculating about who might be stepping into the role since.
A persistent rumor claimed that The Walking Dead alum Norman Reedus had been cast as Knull, but we may now know which actor will actually bring life to the powerful God of the Symbiotes.
This is something the studio may be attempting to keep under wraps until the movie is in theaters, so with this in mind, possible spoilers follow.

Tickets for Venom: The Last Dance went on sale today and, while we've already had a final trailer, four new posters for the Sony Pictures threequel have just dropped.
Heading our way from IMAX, RealD 3D, Cinemark Theaters, and 4Dx, there's no denying that these are some of the most inventive and ferocious efforts we've seen this year.
Venom is a character who lends himself to badass imagery, and that 4Dx one-sheet is a real wallpaper-worthy piece of artwork. If and when the Lethal Protector finally gets that iconic white chest logo, Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock will arguably become truly iconic.
Fandango has also revealed a special Venom Collector's Cup; a few popcorn tins have leaked in recent weeks, though we'd imagine the official reveals will begin in due course. AMC Theaters, meanwhile, are offering a cable organiser!

Venom: The Last Dance has gone from being a movie most fans could either take or leave to one of the year's most intriguing comic book adaptations.
The presence of Knull, God of the Symbiotes, in the final trailer was a genuine shocker and suggested the stakes in this movie will be quite a bit higher than expected. Then, there are rumours about it leading directly into Spider-Man 4 for a team-up between Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Tom Hardy's Venom.
The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez is the one who shared that particular rumour and he's now pointed comic book readers in the direction of the Web of Venom: Carnage Born one-shot if they're curious about what Knull is after.
In that issue, Cletus Kasaday's dead body is bonded with a piece of Knull's Symbiote by a cult that worships the King in Black. A new, monstrous Carnage...

If Sony Pictures is planning to set the stage for Spider-Man 4 with Venom: The Last Dance, it may end up being as crucial to the wider MCU as Deadpool & Wolverine (not something we ever expected to say).
It's not long now until we find out but, in the meantime, two new TV spots for the upcoming threequel have been released. The first only features a few snippets of never-before-seen footage, including a unique Symbiote-enhanced headbutt and fun in Las Vegas with Mrs. Chen.
The second shows more of Eddie Brock interacting with Rhys Ifans' mysterious character and his young son. There's been some speculation that the boy is Peter Parker, but it's far more likely this is just a family the Lethal Protector meets on his travels who he has to protect.
However, if Ifans isn't a Dr. Curt Connors Variant, it's a major misstep on Sony's part,...

Despite mostly negative reviews, the Venom movies performed very well at the box office, and it looks like Sony Pictures' trilogy-capper, Venom: The Last Dance, might end up being an even bigger success than both previous instalments.
According to BoxOfficePro.com's long-range forecasts, Venom 3 could be looking at a domestic opening weekend in the $80M – $120M range. There's obviously a lot of room between those numbers, but should The Last Dance's debut come in on the higher end, it will surpass its predecessor's openings and could potentially claim one of the best box office bow's of 2024.

Venom: The Last Dance is fast approaching and promotional tie-ins with Pizza Hut and Wendy's have revealed a new look at Tom Hardy's fan-favourite Symbiote in action.
That black goo - don't worry, it's just garlic sauce - looks oddly appetising but on closer inspection, we see that some of the artwork has recycled images of Venom from the previous movies. For most franchises, that wouldn't fly, but in this one's case...why not?
Bizarrely, Venom's character design hasn't undergone any noteworthy changes since the first movie was released in 2018. That's despite fan backlash over the fact he has no logo on his chest, making Venom the one constant in a genre that frequently switches up costumes and appearances to, primarily, sell toys and merchandise.

That's despite fan backlash over the fact he has no logo on his chest, making Venom the one constant in a genre that frequently switches up costumes and appearances to, primarily, sell toys and merchandise.
This mostly new artwork comes as early box office tracking suggests Venom: The Last Dance is on course to open with between $80 million -...

Since November is considered the start of the holiday movie season, October continues what was once a generally slow fall month for movies, but in recent years, one that has become as much about releasing prestige Oscar fodder as it is about big budget genre fare. The big question this month might be which of the two super-villain sequels will do better, plus there’s also a bunch of scary stuff, including two anticipated sequels to horror hits. On top of that, there are a bunch of festival favorites and potential Oscar contenders as well. Read on for Gold Derby’s October 2024 box office preview.
“Joker: Folie á Deux” (Warner Bros. – Oct. 4)
Joaquin Phoenix won his first acting Oscar for playing Arthur Fleck, the title character of Todd Phillips‘ 2019 film “Joker,” and that movie – which took a unique look at Batman’s greatest villain – ended up grossing over $1 billion worldwide after opening with $96.2 million domestically.

Rumour has it that tickets for Venom: The Last Dance go on sale next Tuesday, October 1, and a new TV spot has just dropped with plenty of never-before-seen footage from the Sony Pictures threequel.
Tom Hardy was named the UK's Sexiest Man Alive in 2021 and that's the source of a couple of gags in this sneak peek. Heading to Las Vegas, Eddie Brock dons a tuxedo and looks suitably suave as he runs into Mrs. Chen who we'd guess is coincidentally on vacation in the City of Sin.
We also see Eddie and Venom battling the monstrous Xenophage creatures sent to Earth by Knull, God of the Symbiotes. That familiar shot of the villain is featured but it seems the Lethal Protector will mostly be doing battle with his monstrous minions.

We're now less than one month away from the release of Venom: The Last Dance in theaters and despite it looking unlikely that this final chapter will be R-Rated, there's still an awful lot of intrigue surrounding the threequel.
Much of that stems from rumours it will set the stage for Spider-Man and Venom to meet in Spider-Man 4, but even if that's not the case, the live-action debut of Knull, God of the Symbiotes is undeniably exciting.
Today, reliable leaker @Cryptic4KQual brings us news about Venom: The Last Dance's runtime. Despite it previously being reported that this will be the longest instalment at upwards of two hours, it will reportedly clock in around the 1 hour, 50-minute (110 minutes) mark.
For comparison, Venom was 112 minutes and Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a breezy 97 minutes.
We'd imagine the movie's marketing campaign will now pick up and with tickets expected...

The upcoming comic book film “Venom: The Last Dance” is set to introduce a formidable new antagonist. Knull, the self-proclaimed “King in Black” from Marvel comics, will make his live-action debut in the film. Knull first appeared in Marvel comics in 2018 and is known for creating the symbiotes. His addition signifies a serious escalation in the threat level faced by Eddie Brock, played by Tom Hardy, and his symbiote partner Venom.
Fans are speculating about how Eddie and Venom will handle such a powerful foe. Some theorize that Hardy’s Eddie Brock could team up with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, to fight Knull. This could help connect Sony’s Spider-Man Universe to the larger MCU. While his appearance in the film has been confirmed, the actor portraying Knull has not been announced. Norman Reedus, known for “The Walking Dead,” is a popular choice among viewers.

While Sony Pictures has made a few missteps with the Venom franchise since its launch in 2018, one of the biggest disappointments for fans has been the fact the anti-hero's story has played out in a PG-13 world.
Yes, the Lethal Protector has eaten brains but without the addition of blood. That wasn't a major issue in Venom, but when Venom: Let There Be Carnage rolled around, there were many complaints about Cletus Kasady being unleashed minus an R-Rating.
Following the success of Deadpool & Wolverine and the fact Kraven the Hunter is going to be an R, there's been some chatter about Venom: The Last Dance finally heading down a darker route.
Not so, according to reliable leaker @Cryptic4KQual.
After revealing that tickets go on sale on October 1, the scooper noted that a source has confirmed Sony Pictures is hoping to keep the Venom threequel PG-13. Why? Money, apparently (which...

Following last week's final trailer, Sony Pictures has released a new poster for Venom: The Last Dance, spotlighting the Symbiote and the Venomized horse that was introduced in the first teaser.
We've seen Venomized animals in the comics on a number of occasions, but this fella has come in for quite a bit of backlash for some reason. Is it really too silly... for this franchise?
Check out the poster at the link below.
We can already taste the creativity.

Earlier this week, we got a first look at one of Venom: The Last Dance's popcorn buckets and to call it underwhelming...well, that would be an understatement.
However, it appears Sony Pictures is making a bigger effort than most of you expected because a second effort has been revealed today which, yes, means you'll be able to scoop popcorn straight out of the Lethal Protector's mouth!
It's a fun design and hopefully one of many we'll see for the Marvel threequel. Gimmicky popcorn buckets have become a big seller for theaters at a time when they need all the help they can get and there's money to be made here.
Plus, if Venom really does find his way to the MCU in time for Spider-Man 4, this will be the first of many pieces of merchandise featuring the character's likeness we'll one day be able to get our hands on.

We'd initially expected Venom: The Last Dance to take place in Mexico with Eddie Brock on the run after being outed as San Fransisco's Lethal Protector.
Instead, the trailers have made it clear that Venom is heading to Sin City for an adventure in Las Vegas.
A new international poster for the movie has been released today which shows a grinning Venom as Vegas burns in the background. It appears a great many of Knull's Xenophage monsters are crashing to Earth, suggesting we're getting a full-blown alien invasion here.
Might that be why Eddie eventually returns to Earth-616 to seek Spider-Man's help in stopping the King in Black?
Remember, there's a strong chance Venom: The Last Dance will feature Multiversal elements, and while we're 99.9% sure that Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing the villainous Orwell Taylor, the actor was recently asked whether he's concerned about fans being confused after seeing him in...

Gimmicky popcorn buckets have been sold in theater chains for decades, but it's really over the past year that they've seemingly become collector's items.
We're not sure where it started, but people flocking to buy them made headlines with the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie last fall. Then it was the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket which received attention for its potential Nsfw potential, something Marvel Studios capitalised on with its own wacky Deadpool & Wolverine-themed offering.
Unfortunately, the first Venom: The Last Dance popcorn bucket leaves much to be desired.
As you can see below, it's just a generic bucket with an image of Venom that's been recycled from the 2018 movie. It's possible we'll see some more imaginative efforts in the coming weeks and if one of them isn't a version of what we got for the Dune sequel with Venom's teeth...well, what a missed...

And just like that, another hotly contested Emmy awards season race has come to a close. After last year's WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes pushed the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony into January of this year, last night the glitzy statue-doling bash's 76th edition — this year hosted by Schitt's Creek's Eugene and Dan Levy — took place at the Peacock Theater in LA. And on a night of few major surprises, the two most nominated shows of the year — samurai epic Shōgun and kitchen-based "comedy" The Bear — got their hands ("Hands!") on 18 and 11 awards respectively, including historic Outstanding Actor and Actress In A Drama wins for the former's Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai, and second Outstanding Actor and Supporting Actor wins for the latter's Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Cast and executive producers of ‘Shogun’ on stage at the 2024 Emmys (Disney/Frank Micelotta)
Father and son Eugene and Dan Levy did a respectable job of hosting the 2024 Primetime Emmys, popping in just enough throughout the two-hour running time to guide the show without overstaying their welcome. Their opening bit avoided any controversial topics, and Dan Levy got a big laugh when he described the Emmys as broadcast TV’s biggest night for honoring movie stars on streaming services. Eugene also earned solid applause when he joked, “In the true spirit of The Bear, we will not be making any jokes,” while addressing the show’s controversial classification as a comedy.
Speaking of The Bear, the series was awarded four Emmys during the broadcast in the Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Supporting Actress (Liza Colón-Zayas), and Outstanding Directing categories. But Hacks pulled off a surprise win, snagging the Comedy Series Emmy.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards just aired on ABC, and things went about as expected. In other words, the excellent historical drama Shōgun won Best Drama Series; the caustic slice-of-life series The Bear won Best Comedy Series, since I guess it's a little more like a comedy than Shōgun; and the autobiographical stalker drama Baby Reindeer won Best Limited or Anthology Series.
Those three were the big winners of the night, with them each taking home four awards. Jeremy Allen White won Best Actor In A Comedy Series as expected, and his costar Ebon Moss-Bachrach won Best Supporting Actor. On the drama side, Hiroyuki Sanada won Best Actor and Anna Sawai won Best Actress; she was the one I was really invested in. She was magnificent as Mariko and if she hadn't won I would have been forced to write a strongly worded letter to whoever votes in these things.

FX’s Shogun and The Bear dominated the 76th Emmys in Los Angeles on Sunday night as they finished with 18 and 11 wins apiece, including last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, despite an upset in the comedy series category where HBO/Max’s Hacks was the surprise winner.
Shogun was named best dramatic series and took home both lead acting wins for Hiroyuku Sanada and Anna Sawai, who became the first actress of Asian descent to win the category. The show itself became the first mostly not in the English language to win the series award.

There have been years when the Primetime Emmys telecast is riddled with surprise, out-of-left-field winners, and until the very last minute, this ceremony was not one of them. As the experts predicted, “Shōgun” pretty much ran the table, and it and “The Bear” both set records for the most awarded shows ever for a drama and a comedy, respectively. As the hosts Eugene and Dan Levy also noted in their opening banter, “Shōgun” actually set its record during the Creative Arts Emmys with 14 wins, and only furthered that record with four wins on Sunday. And “The Bear” set its record despite providing the one true shock of the night, its loss for best comedy to “Hacks”!
Meanwhile, the Emmys did manage to slip in some unexpected wins — in one case, one even went to, yes, “The Bear.” Here they are.

Only eight months after the last Emmy ceremony (which was delayed due to the strikes), the Primetime Emmy Awards are back, although there were some big surprises in store. While it did well, winning many big categories including Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress, it lost Best Comedy Series (and actress) to Hacks.

Jodie Foster is officially an Emmy winner. The veteran actor took home her first trophy from the TV Academy on Sunday night, winning lead actress in a limited series for her role in “True Detective: Night Country.”
After Lily Gladstone and Greta Lee presented the golden statuette to Foster at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the actress was in a fluster during the “emotional moment,” as she immediately flubbed the name of the HBO series, calling it, “True Detective: North Country.”

Foster, who won two Oscars for Best Actress for The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs, has finally triumphed at the primetime TV awards on the fifth time of asking in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Anthology Series or Movie category.
Foster, who won the award for her role as Chief Liz Danvers in HBO’s True Detective: Night Country, said, “This is an incredibly emotional moment for me, because True Detective: Night Country was just a magical experience, and it all comes from the top, the beautiful, wonderful, talented Issa Lopez.”
She also thanked the show’s Icelandic crew as well as her “partner in crime” Kali Reis.
“Mostly the Indigenous people and Inuit people of Northern Alaska, they just told us their stories, and they allowed us to listen. That was just a blessing. It was love,...

Matthew McConaughey couldn’t do it. Woody Harrelson couldn’t do it. Even Mahershala Ali — a two-time Oscar winner himself — couldn’t win an Emmy for “True Detective.” But Jodie Foster has put an end to the franchise’s losing streak, winning the Best Actress in a Limited Series Emmy Award for her lead performance in “True Detective: Night Country.” This marks Foster’s first Emmy win, as well as the first time an actor has won for their work in “True Detective.”
Foster is also a two-time Oscar winner, but Sunday night’s victory also put an end to her (very minor) personal losing streak at the Emmys. In 1999, she earned her first nomination as a producer of “The Baby Dance,” which was nominated for Best TV Movie and lost to “A Lesson Before Dying.” Fifteen years later, Foster was nominated for Best Director of a Comedy Series for “Orange Is the New Black,...

For the second time this year, Hollywood gathered to honor TV’s biggest stars.
After the 2023 ceremony was delayed to January 2024 by last year’s Hollywood strikes, it’s only been eight months since TV’s biggest stars gathered at Los Angeles’ LA Live Peacock Theatre to announce the Emmy winners. Like months ago, “The Bear” stars Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach once again won lead actor and supporting actor in a comedy, and co-star Colón-Zayas also won her first Emmy in the supporting actress race. “Hacks” star Jean Smart won lead actress in a comedy, and in the biggest surprise of the night, HBO’s “Hacks” won outstanding comedy over “The Bear,” which many believed to be the frontrunner.
“The Bear” broke its own record of 10 comedy wins for a single season, which it achieved last year, with its 11 trophies on Sunday, including directing for Christopher Storer. FX...
