Darrell 'Silver' Hughes is an American actor and recording artist whose entertainment career perpetually exhibits his genuine love for acting and music, bringing a wide array of experiences and insight to all his pursuits, his integrity evident in his work.
Darrell's role as Patrick in the hit movie "Two Can Play That Game" opened further doors showcasing his musical talents to catapult his career. He recorded the title track for the feature film and was the first rap artist to record a song with internationally known Enrique Iglesias. Taking on the name Silver, as he is known in the music world, he has dedicated himself to music projects and performances throughout the past years.
Every actor has a compelling reason to perform, and Darrell Silver Hughes' ability to translate stories and emotions is a result of being well traveled from career experience as an international flight attendant, and living life full of natural curiosity supported by a great sense of humor.
Proficient in accents, Darrell can invoke the use of British, Russian, Australian, Spanish, Jamaican, US Midwest and US Southern. He has competed nationally in Speech Forensics.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Darrell proudly served in the US Military. His military experience provides the foundation for Darrell being available as a Military Expert and Consultant on projects.
His athleticism continues to this day, having a full array sports and dancing abilities to support acting roles -- just to name a few: basketball, football, soccer, golf, boxing, swimming -- and martial arts including Capoeira. Dancing skills include Ballroom, Club & Freestyle, Hip Hop, and Salsa.
Darrell welcomes doing Indie projects for the experiences and support of the arts.
He continues to hone his skills and creativity with participation in Actors Workshops and Academies offering theater and acting technique classes. Darrell received his Associate Degree from Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California.
