The second part of American Horror Stories season 3 is now available to stream on Hulu. It is packed with five chilling new episodes. But what’s up with this release format? Is there an episode 10 still ahead? Is this season of AHStories season 3 or considered season 4? Here’s everything we know!

No release schedules are more complicated than those of streaming shows. And there’s so much confusion surrounding this new season of AHS’ spin-off AHStories. For starters, is it season 3 or season 4? Technically, the new episodes are part of season 3. The first half of the third season premiered almost a year ago on Oct. 26, so that’s why fans were not sure.

The first part of season 3 only features four episodes, but really it should have been its own season to avoid confusion. Alas, the five new episodes are considered part of season 3, for a grand total of nine episode.

The end of the year is quickly approaching, which means I wouldn’t be surprised if we learn about more and more show cancelations. The first two cancelations of the fall season that really stung? UnPrisoned and Black Cake. Hulu, we are not happy!

TV fans know heartache all too well. Because as much as we love the excitement of a new series or season renewal, there will always be cancelations. And most of these cancelations tend to happen prematurely. This means that fans are left with unanswered questions since their beloved series was axed before given the chance to close the story. Hulu has canceled the drama series “Black Cake” after its debut season concluded over ten months ago. Based on the novel by Charmaine Wilkerson, “Black Cake” starred Adrienne Warren and Mia Isaac in a family drama spanning several decades and continents. The show explored a mysterious disappearance in the 1960s that challenged a family’s understanding of their origins.

“Black Cake” earned widespread praise for its inaugural season. It holds a 94% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes and received nominations for NAACP Image Awards. Hulu Cancels ‘Black Cake’ After Just One Season...

It is one-and-done for Black Cake. Hulu has cancelled the drama series after one season on the streaming service. Created by Marissa Jo Cerar, the eight-episode first season debuted in November and finished in December 2023.

Mia Isaac, Adrienne Warren, Chipo Chung, Ashley Thomas, Lashay Anderson, Faith Alabi, and Glynn Turman star in the series based on Charmaine Wilkerson's novel. The drama tells the story of a woman whose family discovers her secrets after she dies.

Hulu is not proceeding with a second season of its original drama series Black Cake, starring Adrienne Warren and Mia Isaac. The news is not surprising as it’s been 10 months since Season 1 ended its run on the streamer.

This marks a formal resolution for the series, from Women of the Movement creator Marissa Jo Cerar, Oprah Winfrey‘s Harpo Films and Aaron Kaplan‘s Kapital Entertainment, whose fate had been sealed for months. It didn’t necessarily have to be — I’d heard chatter that Netflix was interested in picking up the acclaimed drama but the inquiry didn’t go far as program relocations from one major streamer to another are very rare — and complicated — in the era of streaming wars.

Netflix had been among the original suitors for the project, which landed at Hulu in 2021 after a bidding war.

It’s one and done for Hulu’s Black Cake, which will not be back for a second season at the streamer, TVLine has learned.

The cancellation comes nearly a year after Black Cake first premiered on Hulu in November 2023. Its Season 1 finale, now a series finale, dropped on Dec. 6.

“Black Cake” won’t be returning for a second season at Hulu.

The streamer has opted not to renew the series, based on Charmaine Wilkerson’s novel of the same name, for a second installment. The news comes just under a year after “Black Cake” debuted in November 2023.

Taking place across Jamaica, Rome, Scotland, England and Southern California, the generational saga centers on a runaway bride named Covey (Mia Isaac), who disappears into the surf off the coast of Jamaica and is feared drowned — or a fugitive on the run for her husband’s murder in the late 1960s, according to the official logline.

Her story is uncovered 50 years later in California when widow Eleanor Bennett (Chipo Chung) loses her battle with cancer and leaves her two estranged children, Byron (Ashley Thomas) and Benny (Adrienne Warren), a flash drive that holds previously untold stories of her journey from the Caribbean to America.

The Undoing is adapted from Jean Hanff Korelitz‘s 2014 novel titled You Should Have Known. Adapted into a miniseries by David E. Liev Schreiber has expressed his admiration for Nicole Kidman, revealing unexpected facets of his co-star in their latest project, The Perfect Couple.

In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham, Schreiber, 56, shared insights about his experience working with Kidman, 57.

“I got things from Nicole Kidman that I had no idea existed,” Schreiber confessed. He described Kidman as someone who “really exudes grace and elegance and authority and all these things.”

Swarms of flying insects invaded Netflix’s red carpet premiere of “The Perfect Couple” on Wednesday night at the streamer’s Egyptian Theatre Hollywood.

If the hot and sticky weather wasn’t bad enough, the cast – including Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber and Meghann Fahy – suddenly found themselves swatting away gnats about an hour into the carpet.

It’s a beach read starring all of our favorite murder mystery staple actors — and it doesn’t get much better than that.

The upcoming Netflix series “The Perfect Couple” brings together alums from “Big Little Lies,” “Ripley,” and “The White Lotus” for yet another vacation gone awry. Nicole Kidman leads the novel adaptation, based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestseller, as matriarch Greer Winbury whose son is getting married… only to find someone in the wedding party dead on the big day.

Jenna Lamia is the writer and showrunner, with Susanne Bier directing. Bier previously worked with Kidman in another novel adaptation “The Undoing” (2020), and also directed the series “The Night Manager” (2016) and “The First Lady” (2022), plus films “Brothers” (2004), “After the Wedding” (2006), “In a Better World” (2010), and “Bird Box” (2018).

Nicole Kidman sure loves a murder mystery. Not only is she keen for another season of Big Little Lies, she’s now starring in Netflix’s The Perfect Couple, another ambitious, star-studded show centering on a murder.

The series is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s book and the author is also executive producing the series. Susanne Bier is directing and Jenna Lamia is acting as showrunner.

Netflix has also set up a dedicated page for the series on their Tudum platform. The page includes a formal invite to the wedding as well as the full schedule for the festivities. Interestingly the press release doesn’t state how many episodes the series consists of but The Hollywood Reporter reports The Perfect Couple will be 6 episodes.

Nicole Kidman stars in the series adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, about Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson), a bride set to marry into one of Nantucket’s wealthiest families. What could go wrong in one of the wealthiest perfect families on Nantucket? Netflix has dropped the trailer for “The Perfect Couple,” an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s eponymous murder mystery book.

Set to Franki Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” the trailer sees novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman) and her husband Tag Winbury (Liev Schrieber), the heads of a seemingly perfect family. Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson) is set to marry into their wealthy clan.

Greer (Kidman) is the mom of Amelia’s fiancée Benji Winbury (Billy Howle) and has expensed their wedding, set to be the toast of the season. But, it seems like the family has some secrets buried.

“The key to this family is just stay on the periphery,” Abby Winbury (Dakota Fanning), Benji’s sister, tells Amelia. “Where it’s safe.”

But, before the pair’s nuptials, a body turns up on the beach.

“Baby Reindeer” was among the winners at the first-ever Gotham TV Awards on Tuesday evening, taking home the prize for breakthrough limited series.
