Jorrit Ruijs

Jorrit Ruijs is a Dutch actor, born and raised in the south of The Netherlands.
From early age on he studied classical ballet at the Academy of Dance.
In 2002 he graduated from the Amsterdam Theatre School.
Since then he has been working for theater, television and film.
He is best known for Het leven uit een dag (2008), Bloedverwanten (2010-2012), Van God los (2011),
Motief voor Moord (2015) and De Spa (2017).
Currently he is performing the role of the villain Scar in Disney's musical The Lion King.
A role for which he was nominated for a Johnny Kraaykamp Musical Award in the category best male lead character in a musical.
