Soham Majumdar is an Indian actor born in Kolkata, India. He is very passionate about acting since his birth and was firm to choose acting as his profession. He has been a Theatre artist from the year 2011 and back then he also formed a Theatre group known as M.A.D (Mad about Drama) where he has been a part of over 50 proscenium plays and also several audio plays for a Radio Network namely Friends 91.9 Fm. He has also been a part of a musical that was produced by Disney and Bookmyshow named "Aladdin" where he essayed the role of "Babkak".
He started his film career with a Bengali movie named Drishtikone (2018) directed by National Award Winning Director, Kaushik Ganguly, after which he got noticed in the film Kabir Singh (2019). Sandeep Reddy Vanga's direction Kabir Singh is a drama film and remake of the original Telugu film Arjun Reddy, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani where Soham Majumdar played the role of Kabir Singh's best friend, his backbone named Shiva. Not only the movie, but his acting was box office hit. Kabir Singh is the second highest grossing Hindi film of 2019 and also the first A-certified Indian film to gross over 200 crore in India. He also received few laurels owing to his performance in Kabir Singh namely the Zee Cine Awards, for Best Supporting Actor,2020. His other notable works have been "Brahma Jaanen Gopon Kommoti" for which he received an award for being the Most Promising Talent for essaying the role of Bikramaditya in the film. He wishes to be part of stories for the rest of his life as he firmly believes that it we are all poor players who strut and fret our hour upon the stage and is heard no more.
Lesser known fact about Soham is that, he is also an engineer and a not so proud one at that.
