BB Easton
- Writer
BB Easton is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men, the steamy comedic memoir that inspired the Netflix Original Series, Sex/Life (2021).
BB was a stressed-out school psychologist when she wrote and self-published 44 Chapters About 4 Men. The book, which chronicles the year she spent leaving fictitious journal entries about her passionate ex-boyfriends out for her husband to find in an attempt to manipulate him into becoming a more romantic partner, was supposed to be her little secret. Instead, it received a glowing review from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, hit the Amazon Top 100 Bestseller list, and was optioned by producer J. Miles Dale. The day after winning the 2018 Best Picture Academy Award for his film, The Shape of Water (2017), Miles took his Oscar trophy and BB's story to Netflix and pitched what would go on to become Sex/Life (2021), a steamy, female-centered drama series about a woman caught in a love triangle between her picture-perfect present and her party-girl past. Sex/Life premiered in June of 2021 and was viewed by 67 million households within the first month, making it the third Most-Watched Netflix Original Series at that time.
In light of these events, BB quit her job as a school psychologist, dyed her hair pink, and is now a deliriously happy full-time author and screenwriter. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her long-suffering husband and two adorable children.
Grand Central Publishing/Forever, a division of Hachette Book Group, acquired 44 Chapters About 4 Men and the 44 Chapters spin-off series (Skin, Speed, Star, and Suit) in 2019. The books have since been published in over twenty different languages.
BB now writes romantic suspense novels and romantic comedy screenplays, including The Rain Trilogy, a gritty, dystopian love story that takes place before, during, and after a predicted apocalyptic event; Group Therapy, a rom-com about an inexperienced psychologist who creates a therapy group from hell as an excuse to spend more time with her celebrity client; and Devil of Dublin, a dark, mystical adventure about a young couple on the run from the Irish mafia as well as their own traumatic pasts.
