Julie Carney is an American film actress, born Julie Ann Bolkovac in Youngstown, Ohio. She is the daughter of James P. and Joan Bolkovac, both decorated schoolteachers, who encouraged her to go to college before seeking her acting career. Julie graduated from The Ohio State University with honors and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Communications. Prior to her film career, she worked as a marketing specialist in both the medical and health care industries.
Julie made her film debut in "The First Look", a comedy/mystery film produced by the film department of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Since then, she has appeared In "The Dinner Party," where she brought laughter and charm to the screen in this delightful comedy, captivating viewers with her impeccable timing and comedic flair. In "Drunken Inheritance," her depiction of the supportive wife to the troubled protagonist embodies resilience and unwavering loyalty. Julie effortlessly combines sincere compassion with natural class and sophisticated charm in her growing list of award-winning indie films. Among them is "Butterfly Short," now available for streaming, which earned her and her fellow cast members the esteemed Best Ensemble Cast award at the 2021 Toronto Independent Film Festival. Her next endeavor is a comedic short film, a collaborative effort with director/producer Tom Angeletti and actor/writer/producer Timothy J. Cox.
