Should we prepare for something deeply personal in Daredevil: Born Again? That could just be reading too much into the title. Lawyer-turned-vigilante, Matt Murdock is returning after years of anticipation. Set to hit Disney+ in 2025, Daredevil: Born Again will mark the return of one of Marvel’s most beloved.
When Daredevil first appeared on Netflix in 2015, it stood out like a sore thumb — especially when compared to the light-hearted tone of the MCU’s mainstream films and shows. Daredevil offered something else – grit, brutality, and moral existentialism.

Set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, the Netflix series followed Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who moonlights as a vigilante superhero. Unlike others, not just the MCU, Murdock does not channel the cosmic or something superhuman—he has a blind man’s heightened senses and a relentless moral compass.

Surprises are often the spice of life, yet not all are welcome with open arms. Take the unanticipated release of TV show trailers, for instance, which can cut both ways—a thrill for fans yet a potential headache for studios. As each piece of leaked footage slides into the public domain before its time, it begs the question: does it add fuel to the fire of anticipation or pour cold water on meticulously prepared marketing plans?

The original Netflix Daredevil series didn't really feature that many scenes with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) together, which made it all the more impactful when the two did share the screen.
Though fans are very excited about seeing these bitter enemies reunite for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, it sounds like the Disney+ revival is going to take a similar approach - but with good reason.
"With these characters, you have to always feel like, were they to cross paths, they would fight to the death," Cox explains to Collider. "It would be hugely explosive. So, you have to, in the writing of a show, in the construction of it, you have to limit the amount of time they can be together or you have to give them real reason for them not to be together.”

Marvel Studios has revealed that the popular Daredevil series will return to Disney+ with all of the original series’ main characters. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise their roles as the vigilante Daredevil/Matt Murdock and the criminal kingpin Wilson Fisk. The new 18-episode series titled “Daredevil: Born Again” will premiere on March 4, 2025 for U.S. viewers and the following day in the UK.
The series marks a comeback for the Netflix show, which finished its third season in 2018 but faced delays in continuing the story. Marvel has now aligned the continuity with its television plans. According to the synopsis, the story will focus on Murdock working as a lawyer while Fisk aims for political power. Accidents happen in Hollywood all the time. Actors slip, marks are set wrong, and what was supposed to be a safe stunt turns into a mishap. The Walking Dead is one of the most successful and adored action shows of all time. Considering this, it is not surprising that there were some unfortunate incidents on the set of the project.

Daredevil: Born Again has a release date, so here’s when fans can see the Man Without Fear hit Disney+!
Created in 1963, Daredevil has been one of Marvel’s best-ever characters. For newbies, when he was a young child, Matt Murdock was accidentally doused with radioactive chemicals that blinded him. However, it also gave Matt super-enhanced senses as well as a “radar sense” to be able to “see” around him.
When his boxer father refused to take a dive and was murdered by mobsters, Matt wanted justice. After becoming a lawyer, Matt took on the identity of Daredevil to fight various criminals. The character hit a high point in the early 1980s under writer/artist Frank Miller, who made him darker and tougher while introducing his major foe of mob boss, the Kingpin and femme fatale Elektra.
The character was brought to life in a 2003 big screen movie starring Ben Affleck,...

The Story: After causing a deadly accident while driving drunk, a family man (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is sent to a maximum security penitentiary. There, he’s recruited by the Aryan Brotherhood, and coerced into acts of violence that threaten to erase any trace of the man he once was.
The Players: Starring: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Omari Hardwick, Lake Bell, Jon Bernthal, Emory Cohen & Jeffrey Donovan. Written and directed by Ric Roman Waugh.
The History: Shot Caller was released with very little fanfare last summer. A low-key VOD release from Saban, which nonetheless received some pretty good reviews when it played the festival circuit, it forms a loose trilogy for director Ric Roman Waugh, following his earlier Felon and Snitch. Originally a Relativity production, that company’s bankruptcy sent the finished film into a tailspin, hence the limited release. Marvel Studios just wrapped up a surprise Daredevil: Born Again panel at New York Comic Con and the trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ TV series has leaked online.
The sneak peek includes several of the Man Without Fear's new cowls and clashes with The Punisher, Muse, and The Kingpin. We also catch sight of Bullseye, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson (it's widely believed they were added to the series following the widely publicised creative overhaul).
There's also an intriguing, predictably tense, exchange between Matt Murdock and New York City's future Mayor, Wilson Fisk:
Fisk: Sometimes, peace needs to be broken. Chaos must reign.
Murdock: It does seem like we really do understand each other, so if you step out of line, I am gonna be there.
Fisk: This caution that you’re giving me. Who’s it from? Matt Murdock or your darker half?

Season 7 of the show starts with a brutal ending to one of the key characters in the story, Glenn, portrayed by Steven Yeun. And Lincoln believes that the scene went a bit too far, marking a turning point from which the show would never fully recover.

Though the first teaser trailer for Daredevil: Born Again has not been officially released, a decent-quality leaked version has been doing the rounds, and we also got a pretty good look at the new suit Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will don in the Disney+ series in a number of set photos that found their way online back when the show was filming.
Now, we have arguably our best look yet at the Man Without Fear's updated costume thanks to a New York Comic-Con display.
The mask appears to be very similar to the one the character wore in the now defunct Netflix series, but a few changes have been made to the rest of the outfit. The new suit went over well enough with the majority of fans, though some are disappointed that the iconic "Dd" logo from the comics still hasn't been added to the chest.

In The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman’s gripping comic series, Andrew Lincoln takes on the role of the tough and tenacious Rick Grimes. However, with a blend of humor and honesty, the actor, 51, once revealed his playful envy of Jon Bernthal’s character, Shane Walsh. Lincoln joked about Shane’s boldness in “actually sleep[ing] with my wife”, referring to Lori Grimes, played by Sarah Wayne Callies.

For those new to the chaos, Rick is the fearless leader and former sheriff’s deputy, constantly grappling with survival and moral dilemmas in a world overrun by zombies. Shane, once Rick’s best friend, turns into a rival as he pursues Lori (Rick’s wife), under the assumption that Rick is dead. This chaotic love triangle leaves Lori caught between loyalty and her tangled emotions.

The initial version of Daredevil: Born Again was a complete disaster. It focused primarily on courtroom drama, featuring very little action from Daredevil. This approach received negative feedback, prompting Marvel to make major changes in how it developed the series.
In late September 2023, after filming six of the 18 episodes, Marvel Studios decided to shift the show’s direction.
The original head writers, Corman and Ord, along with the other directors, were let go after executives reviewed the footage and concluded that the series “wasn’t working.”
Their approach differed significantly from the Netflix version, causing Charlie Cox to not appear as Daredevil until the fourth episode. Marvel intended to retain some of the filmed scenes while incorporating new elements and aligning more closely with the tone of the original Netflix series.
Despite the changes, Corman and Ord were still expected to receive credit as executive producers. In October of last year,...

As we’ve mentioned before, 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Marvel, both on TV and in theaters. One of the most anticipated projects on the TV front is Daredevil: Born Again, which will mark the full integration of the iconic superhero into the MCU.
The series is set to premiere in March 2025 with a 9-episode first season, and fans are eager to see Charlie Cox’s Daredevil go head-to-head with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin once more. While Kingpin won’t be the only villain, this showdown is the one everyone’s looking forward to.
So far, we’ve heard plenty of rumors and official updates, but the latest buzz—from a popular, though not always reliable, X source—claims the series is fantastic. This news has only heightened fan excitement, building anticipation for what could be a stellar show.

As we have stated more than once before, 2025 is going to be a very important year for Marvel, both in terms of its TV and cinema projects. As far as the former is concerned, the biggest title is definitely going to be Daredevil: Born Again, which will see the titular superhero fully integrated into the MCU.
The series is going to premiere in March 2025 with a 9-episode first season, and the fans cannot wait to see Charlie Cox’s Daredevil face off against Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin once again. Of course, Kingpin is not going to be the only villain in the series, but this is the clash everyone is waiting for.

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming projects. The series will feature Charlie Cox reprising his role as Daredevil, along with much of the original cast from Netflix’s Daredevil.
Currently, details about the show’s plot remain scarce. However, it has been confirmed that Vincent D’Onofrio will return as Kingpin, this time serving as the Mayor of New York, a development hinted at in the post-credit scenes of Echo.
Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen and Elden Henson’s Foggy are also set to return, alongside Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. We know that Mayor Kingpin will wage war against vigilantes and street-level heroes, and there’s a looming threat from the villain Muse, whom Daredevil will ultimately confront.
Recently, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Television, made some intriguing comments about the series. He suggested that the show bears more resemblance to Game of Thrones than we might have expected.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most exciting upcoming projects. The show will see the return of Charlie Cox back to his Daredevil role alongside much of the former cast of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil.’
So far, not much is known about the plot of the show. We know that D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will return, this time as Mayor of New York, something teased in ‘Echo’ post-credit scenes.
Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen and Elden Henson’s Foggy are also set to make a comeback alongside Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. We know that Mayor Kingpin will go to war against vigilantes and street-level superheroes alike. There’s also that looming threat of villain Muse, who Daredevil will eventually have to face.
Now Brad Winderbaum Marvel Studios’ Head of Television made some interesting statements regarding the show. Apparently, the show is more similar to ‘Game of Thrones’ than we’ve anticipated.

A number of people involved with bringing Daredevil: Born Again to the screen have promised that the upcoming Disney+ series will be every bit as dark and violent - if not more so - than the now defunct Netflix show, and Marvel Studios Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, Brad Winderbaum, reiterated just how gritty the Man Without Fear's long-awaited return is going to be during a previously unreleased D23 interview.
During an appearance on ABC's On The Red Carpet Storytellers Spotlight stage, Winderbaum shared updates on several small-screen projects, and compared Born Again to HBO's notoriously brutal Game of Thrones.
"Imagine if New York City was as intricate and problematic and scary as the world of Game of Thrones," he teased. "All these forces vying for control, and it can be really hopeful at times, and really violent at times, and dark-but also there's light at the end of...

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 begins production in a few weeks but we won't get to watch that first batch of episodes until next March.
The Disney+ series promises to take a deep dive into the street-level corner of the MCU, something we'd once hoped was also the plan for Spider-Man 4.
Now, The Cosmic Circus brings a few rumoured updates on the show and the Man Without Fear's fellow Defenders. As expected, Mayor Wilson Fisk will indeed be hunting down vigilantes, with Echo and Blindspot once on his list. How much has changed since the creative overhaul remains unclear, though we might have to wait for the latter's MCU debut.
The site has also heard rumblings about Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing returning. They later note that, when we next see Finn Jones' Danny Rand, he'll likely be the next Iron Fist's master rather than the hero who...

Exactly 30 years after “The Shawshank Redemption,” director Frank Darabont is helming his next massive project: Two episodes of blockbuster series “Stranger Things 5.”
Darabont famously stepped away from filmmaking after his short-lived TNT series “Mob City” that aired for one season in 2013. His last film was 2007’s “The Mist,” adapted from a Stephen King novel. Now, “The Green Mile” helmer is explaining why he came out of an 11-year retirement to direct two episodes of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things.”

That positivity is something I really responded to.”

While Marvel Television (the original Jeph Loeb-led iteration) was in charge of Netflix's Daredevil, MCU concept artist Ryan Meinerding was enlisted to design the Man Without Fear's costume.
It didn't feature the iconic "Dd" logo and neither has any iteration of the suit since. In fact, it was still missing when Matt Murdock made his MCU debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and, based on Daredevil: Born Again set photos, it won't feature there either.
Perhaps the thought process is that a blind superhero wouldn't need or want to put a logo on his chest. Still, fans remain eager to see it on screen.
In the newly released Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding book, new artwork confirms that at least two different versions of the suit were designed for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law with the "Dd" logo front and centre.

It turns out that even Sarah Paulson is intimidated by “The Bear.”

An Interesting New Daredevil: Born Again Rumor Reveals Matt And The Kingpin's Surprising New Dynamic
Daredevil: Born Again underwent a creative overhaul midway through production, resulting in sweeping changes to both the story and creative team.
We believe original plans called for Foggy Nelson to die, prompting Matt Murdock to give up being the Man Without Fear (resulting in the lawyer not suiting up for at least four or five episodes of the nine-episode series). In place of a random gunman, we now have Bullseye and set photos have confirmed Karen Page has also been added to the scene.
Some footage from the original shoot will remain and it appears Foggy is still set to take a bullet. However, according to a new rumour shared on r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, there's going to be a unique twist.
While we're not putting too much stock in this, it's said that Matt is forced to work for Wilson Fisk's Mayoral campaign after turning to the Kingpin to help keep Foggy alive.

Hipps surprised many when he exited Fifth Season after 16 years as a TV development executive, nine at MRC and seven at Fifth Season. It was rumored at the time that he may be looking for a change of pace and a career change.
As Head of TV at Fifth Season, Hipps oversaw a portfolio of more than a dozen series, including Apple TV+’s Severance and Lady In The Lake, Max’s Tokyo Vice as well as Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers and Life & Beth. His upcoming projects include The Savant, starring Jessica Chastain, and The Cheif of War, starring Jason Momoa — both...

Jon Bernthal ducked out of "The Walking Dead" at the right time (the end of season 2). He stayed on long enough to prove his talent without winding up tied down to the show. Of the series' original main cast, Bernthal has also had easily the most prolific film and television career since.
One of his most popular roles was in another comic book-based television series: Frank Castle/The Punisher on "Daredevil," and then a two season "Punisher" spin-off. Bernthal's Punisher is easily the highlight of "Daredevil" season 2; the season suffers whenever it pivoted to the less compelling Elektra/Hand storyline (Elodie Yung never steals a scene like Bernthal does). Even with the controversies surrounding the Punisher character, Marvel Studios has chosen to bring Bernthal back for revival series "Daredevil: Born Again." Welcome back, Frank!
In a funny coincidence, Bernthal is not the only "Walking Dead" alum to have played the Punisher.

When Emmy presenter Catherine O’Hara announced “Hacks” as the winner of Best Comedy Series at Sunday’s Primetime ceremony, awards pundits everywhere had to pick their jaws up off the floor. “The Bear” was the overwhelming front-runner to claim its second victory in that top category, especially after setting a new comedy record in 2024 for 11 wins in the same season. But “Hacks” prevailed, and in doing so it became only the third show in history to win Best Comedy Series for Season 3 after losing its first two bids.
The other two laffers to accomplish this rare Emmy feat are “Get Smart” in 1968 and “Sex and the City” in 2001, which means “Hacks” now finds itself in rare company indeed. For the record, “Get Smart” lost for Season 1 in 1966 to “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and lost for Season 2 in 1967 to “The Monkees”; “Sex and the City” lost for Season 1 in 1999 to...

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU releases, largely due to the strong fan following of Netflix’s Daredevil series. This new installment is set to integrate Daredevil’s existing storylines and characters with the MCU’s broader universe, marking the start of a new street-level phase in the cinematic landscape.
This excitement is heightened by the mixed reception of the Multiverse concept so far, underscoring a growing demand for more grounded, street-level narratives in the MCU.
We already know that Daredevil: Born Again will feature familiar faces such as Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen, Elden Henson’s Foggy, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. However, rumors suggest that Marvel is also considering an additional series to further expand the Defenders roster in the MCU.

During the opening patter between father-son hosts Eugene and Dan Levy at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, the Levys acknowledged that many in the audience might expect them to make a joke about how The Bear isn’t a comedy, despite its 23 nominations across various comedy categories. “But in the spirit of The Bear, we won’t be making any jokes,” Eugene quipped.
The response from the crowd sounded different from how they reacted to the Levys’ other punchlines, as if the attendees were both scandalized and...

FX’s popular series “The Bear” took home a record number of awards at this year’s Emmy ceremony. The show, which follows a talented young chef running his family’s Chicago sandwich shop, won 11 Emmys total. This is the most wins ever for a comedy series in a single year.
While “The Bear” lost the top comedy series award to “Hacks” for the second year in a row, the series still had an extremely successful night. Lead actor Jeremy Allen White received an Emmy for his role as Chef Carmy Berzatto. In his speech, White said the show has “changed my life” and given him hope that positive change is possible.
Supporting actors Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Liza Colón-Zayas also won Emmys for their roles as manager Richie and employee Tina. Moss-Bachrach and Colon-Zayas both gave impactful speeches about their characters and backgrounds. Colon-Zayas encouraged Latino voters to make their voices heard.

“The Bear” crushed a lot of the competition on Sunday night, even if it failed to take home best comedy series for a second year in a row, losing to “Hacks.” Even so, the FX on Hulu series is still Emmy royalty. Last year, “The Bear” made history with its 10 wins for its first season, beating the nine “Schitt’s Creek” picked up in 2020 for its sixth season. Now, between the seven trophies the second season of “The Bear” took home at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month and the four Primetime Emmys it added to the haul on Sunday, the show has beaten its own record as the comedy series with the most wins for a single season.
“The Bear” can’t stop setting new milestones, actually. In July, it received 23 nominations for its second season — one more than the previous record-holder, “30 Rock,” picked up in 2009. Part of...
