Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London, Cliff has been in demand as a composer, arranger, producer, musical director and songwriter. He has worked with artists as diverse as Kylie Minogue, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé, Robbie Williams, Robin Gibb, Susan Boyle, Lionel Richie and Michael McDonald.
Cliff co-wrote "Destiny" the theme song for the "Mission:Space" attraction at Walt Disney World's EPCOT Center.
He has conducted at events including The Nobel Peace Prize Concert, The FA Cup Final, The BBC Proms in the Park and at the Royal Albert Hall.
Cliff has co-produced three albums for Susan Boyle featuring duets with Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole and Michael Bolton and composed / produced original music for the London Olympics 2012 and the 2014 Commonwealth Games opening Ceremony in Glasgow.
He has worked as musical director and composer for the National Youth Music Theatre, Theatre Clywd and the New Shakespeare Company as well as both The Voice and X Factor TV show recordings. He has written two award winning musicals and been a finalist in the Vivan Ellis / PRS awards having had his work performed at the London Palladium, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Edinburgh Festival and Buckingham Palace.
Cliff arranged and conducted all of the current BBC Radio 2 jingles, including the iconic News ident. In 2016 he was commissioned to write a special arrangement of "I Believe In You" for Kylie Minogue's performance at the Queen's 90th birthday celebration in Windsor.
In his work to picture he has scored a number of films and orchestrated / conducted several Hollywood movies including Doctor Strange (2016) and Hacksaw Ridge (2016).
Cliff is primarily based in London and has worked as a conductor with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Wales and the London Session Orchestra, as well as the Nashville String Machine and orchestras in LA, Prague, Denmark and Oslo.
In the 2016 Honours list, Cliff was awarded an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).
