Warning: contains major finale spoilers for ITV’s Red Eye.
By the end of ITV’s Red Eye, Richard Armitage’s character Dr Matthew Nolan had been awake for (approximate calculation) a gazillion hours. Even if he hadn’t been shot saving Hana (Jing Lusi) from that bullet, he’d still have ended the series in a hospital bed due to exhaustion-related organ failure and having blood sugar lower than the Mariana Trench.
Dr Nolan will pull through though, and when he does, he may require a lucid breakdown of what the hell just happened. From car crashes to stapler-surgery to a rogue CIA plot to end the Anglo-China nuclear partnership, all the way to that heroic bullet jump, here’s how everything landed after Red Eye’s surprisingly tight finale.
What Was on the Nano Sim?

The annual marquee event of the Asian video industry, the Asia Video Summit, returned in full swing, hosting over 300 delegates in person and online as a hybrid conference, amidst a time of immense innovation and disruption in the video industry.
The Summit opened with clear views from industry stalwarts, Henry Tan, Group CEO, Astro, Clement Schwebig, Chairman, Asia Video Industry Association (Avia), and Vivek Couto, Executive Director, Media Partners Asia, that a return to profitability and a focus on revenue was much needed for sustained growth across Asia. Though Asia was a huge but diverse and difficult market, there was no doubt certain markets will continue to grow, said Couto. However, disruption was going to continue for the next few years, added Tan, and all players had to be prepared for a rollercoaster ride.

Exclusive: The Daily Wire is set to debut a third movie for free on YouTube. Indie comedy The Hyperions, starring Cary Elwes, will launch on March 10 for viewers in the U.S.
After its initial showing, the film will be available exclusively for Daily Wire members to stream on its website.
According to the conservative media company, their debut original, the action thriller Shut In, recently drew more than 500,000 viewers in its first 72 hours across YouTube and its own website. The popularity of that launch inspired a repeat of the model, the company has told us.
“The Hyperions is one of the most creative films I’ve seen,” said Daily Wire co-ceo Jeremy Boreing. “It’s an ingenious comedy you can enjoy with your family and friends. We have always wanted to give it the largest possible audience and can’t wait to premiere it next week on YouTube for movie fans and our members.

One of the most unexpected developments that has emerged from Lockdown 2020 is the widespread proliferation of the Zoom Quiz. Did anyone else think it was possible to take part in this many general knowledge quizzes? I don’t know about you I somehow managed to get involved in three different quizzes one Friday night – and didn’t manage to win any of them! That didn’t even include the devilish weekly HeyUGuys movie quiz that Scott J Davis has been skillfully compèring of late.
On the surface of it, these Zoom quizzes are a welcome means of keeping in contact with our friends and loved ones, but in the absence of live sport, they have also helped to slake the nation’s thirst for heated competition.
Our obsession with general knowledge has reached something of a fever pitch this year. The recent final of University Challenge created a kind of...

Representatives from the Korean Film Council (Kofic) and several other Asian government agencies met in Busan today to discuss the establishment of a pan-regional film support and development organisation, the Asian Film Center.
Kofic is in the final stages of securing government funds of around $1m (KW1bn) to kickstart the center, with future funding tentatively coming from a 3% levy on cinema ticket sales.

Director Jason Reitman, writer Diablo Cody and star Charlize Theron reteam after their semi-successful 2009 drama Young Adult, with another dramatic tale concerning the trials and tribulations of family and motherhood in that of Tully. A film that suffers from a final ten-minute reel that just about derails the interconnected tissue of events leading up to it. A similar issue, depending on one’s opinion that plagued and only affected the final product and initial entertainment of both 10 Cloverfield Lane and Split. Not completely cauterising the first two acts containing a heart wrenching and honest depiction of loneliness within motherhood, but drastically reducing them to a mere juvenile and condescending rebuttal on every single re-watch for all...

Chicago – “Tully” is a deeply weird motherhood fantasy snuck inside the friendly-but-distancing screenwriting constructs of another pseudo ironic story by Diablo Cody. Charlize Theron plays Margo, a mother of two kids with a third due any day, struggling with the sacrifices she’s made for motherhood.
Rating: 2.0/5.0
When the third child finally arrives, her rich douche of a brother (Mark Duplass) gifts her a night nanny to care for the baby in the evenings so she and her husband (Ron Livingston) can get some rest. While admittedly apprehensive at first, Theron reaches her breaking point and eventually calls her up, because she also has an 8 year old daughter, and a kindergartener with behavior issues who is having trouble at school. Her husband is a hard worker and helps with homework, but is otherwise out of commission once bedtime rolls around.
This is not a film that glamorizes the bonds between mother and child.

After loving their first collaboration (Juno) and disliking their second (Young Adult), I didn’t know what to expect with director Jason Reitman and writer Diablo Cody’s third pairing behind the camera. The best I could do was enter the theater unprejudiced and hopeful for the best since I do like most of their work regardless of that mutual misstep. I can’t say Tully initially made it easy, though. Just because Marlo (Charlize Theron) and Drew (Ron Livingston) aren’t the generic rich, white, suburban couple able to afford a “night nanny” (Mackenzie Davis’ titular Tully), doesn’t mean the premise of needing one to cope after a third pregnancy becomes any less patronizingly elitist. We don’t want parenthood’s messy authenticity sanitized by a diamond prism—especially not in today’s political climate.
The worst thing you could do, however, is give up upon Tully’s bubbly,...

As that massive galactic battle between hordes of heroes and a nearly unstoppable still rages after obliterating box office records last weekend, a new smaller film concerning a more down-to-Earth, but still desperate struggle. will be occupying some of the non Imax 3D theatre spaces at the multiplex, along with certain “art-house” cinemas. While the former flick is a big uniting of several action/fantasy franchises, this new film is a uniting, or rather a re-uniting of some very creative, almost superheroic talents. In 2007 the “dynamic duo” of screenwriter Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman scored a critical and box office hit with a tale of teen pregnancy, Juno (Cody nabbed a well-deserved Best Original Screenplay Oscar for it). The duo became a titanic trio four years later when Charlize Theron starred in their darkly comic tale of thwarted high school reunion romance, Young Adult. Though that film has many...

There are some filmmaking teams that just seem to bring out the best in each other. In terms of writers who pair with directors, few have the winning bond that scribe Diablo Cody has with auteur Jason Reitman. Between Juno and Young Adult, the pair have crafted some truly memorable cinema. This week, the duo team up again for Tully, which also marks their second union with star Charlize Theron (after the aforementioned Young Adult). This dramedy is a whole new type of flick for the trio, which is a definite compliment. All three have done tremendous work in the past, and this stands right up there with the best of it. In fact, few films in 2018 have been this good. The film is described on IMDb as such: “The film is about Marlo, a mother of three including a newborn, who is gifted a night nanny by her brother.

Coming from the director Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning Juno writer who also penned Young Adult, we have reason to expect another smart, witty, real and watchable story peering into our everyday lives. With the terrific and unpredictable Tully, you will not be disappointed.
Perfectly timed for Mother’s Day, the pair is re-teamed with their Young Adult star, Oscar winner Charlize Theron, who plays Marlo, a dutiful mother of two who is now nine months pregnant with an unplanned No. 3. Married to a nice guy named Drew (Ron Livingston), who is predictably consumed by his own career and essentially leaves the parental heavy lifting to his wife, Marlo is a real earth mother — whether dealing with the school of her problematic and easily agitated son (Asher Miles Fallica), trying to pay attention to her awkward daughter (Lia Frankland) or plowing through an exhausting pregnancy with no one...

There are times in life when you’re forced to do something not because you want to, but because you have no choice but to do it. Who among us hasn’t taken a crappy job for the sole reason that you won’t rent otherwise? In a perfect world we do the work we want and love with a big salary attached and life is good. The real world is far more cruel that, however, and sometimes you just suffer through that bad job. Hopefully it’s never to the point of this week’s number, Kelli Lin (Elaine Tan), who is extorted into stealing art by criminals that have her daughter.
Clearly theft of any kind is reprehensible and wrong, but when you’re caught between...

The real world is far more cruel that, however, and sometimes you just suffer through that bad job. Hopefully it’s never to the point of this week’s number, Kelli Lin (Elaine Tan), who is extorted into stealing art by criminals that have her daughter.

An unexplained series of events occur on a Vegas tram; unexplained until the CSIs are on the case, that is. Nick (George Eads) returns from Hawaii after a seminar to find the joke's on him. The new boss, Db Russell (Ted Danson) lies on the tram floor and Nick thinks he's just a Db, which he is. Db by name, but not a real Db! Nick's reaction to his name, his initials is exactly what I thought when it was revealed who Ted was going to play in the show. Db as many know stands for 'dead body.' The others can only laugh and disappear. Nick isn't too happy to be the butt of their joke and he and Db don't really seem to hit it off - not like Nick and Ray (Laurence Fishburne). Two people were killed on the tram and three were injured. One Vic, Tom (Nathan Anderson) was stabbed.
