Jane Xi is drawn to storytelling that centers marginalized narratives and believes that art exists to foster hope and light in times of darkness and uncertainty. An actress, writer and dancer, she received training from U.C. Berkeley and Capezio Peridance, New York. Jane is of mixed American, Chinese & Irish heritage. Her mother is a war orphan and her father, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, took his life when Jane was eleven years old. A published author, Jane Xi writes under the pen-name "J.A. Thomas" whose works belong to the realm of psychological thriller. Jane often writes military science fiction novels inspired by her work with law enforcement and combat veterans. She is the author of The Dinner 4_1 series, a science fiction saga that draws from her research in technology, mental health, traumatic brain injuries, and PTSD.
