Shreya Gejji is a Kiwi-Indian screenwriter and producer.
Perianayaki, her first short film as writer and producer, was awarded Best Short Film at the New Zealand International Film Festival in 2022. She is one of the writers on Kainga, an anthology feature of 9 Pan-Asian women's stories about making home in New Zealand. Her feature screenplay Dubai Dreams was a finalist at the Screen Writers Awards New Zealand in 2015. She is the co-producer of a funded feature television documentary about the New Zealand Kabaddi team. She is slated to make her directorial debut with her short film Night Visions in 2023.
Shreya is in the final year of her PhD with Creative Practice from the University of Auckland where she is working on the first draft of her latest feature screenplay.
