I think it's true that we're living in this golden age of television. If you go to a dinner party, people are talking about the latest episode of whatever show they're following. They're not talking about the latest movie, which is what they might have done ten or fifteen years ago. That's a really striking change. The studios have largely abandoned making the kind of movies that writers want to write, and directors want to direct. And all of that energy is going into television.
