Leah Mangum is a seasoned actress, casting director, producer, and writer hailing from the south side of Chicago. Her passion for the performing arts lead her to attend The Chicago Academy High School for the Performing Arts. She later majored in theater at Loyola University and honed her craft on the stages of Equity Theaters all over Chicago. Her dedication to the arts also led her on a North American tour with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, featuring Donny Osmond.
Leah Mangum sold a show to Yippee TV (The Fun Show) which will be available premiering in 2024. She is also known for her film Still Here which she had the pleasure to act in and produce with her lovely and talented friend Chuck Saculla. She has also produced, written and starred in the TV movie Take it From the Top which she wrote and starred along side the wonderful Jill Whelan. With a passion for storytelling, her and her husband Jonathan Mangum have produced the TV movie Doing it Yourself and the movie Manband.
Her work as a casting director has received high acclaim, notably for the film "RITE" which was presented at the Sundance Film Festival. She has an extensive portfolio as a casting director, with involvement in a wide range of projects, such as "WRZ: White Racist Zombies", "20 Seconds to Live" (TV Series), and "Video Palace" (Podcast Series). Her most recent project, "Life After," is currently in post-production.
Married to Jonathan Mangum, Leah is also the mother of two sons, Austin and Chase who are also in the performing arts.
