In Neu-Kölln he attended the Catholic private school St. Marien. As a teenager he was an altar boy. After graduating from school, Barth did an apprenticeship as a telecommunications system electronics technician at Siemens. He then attended an acting school. He trained as a comedian in comedy workshops. He gained his first experiences in short appearances on TV shows such as Nonsense Comedy Club. In 2001, Barth started his own live comedy show. In his program "Men are pigs, but so are women!" From the very beginning, he addressed human relationships between women and men. In 2001 he presented his program entitled "Men are primitive but happy!" on. In the same year he received the German Comedy Prize in the Best Live Comedy category and he appeared as a cowboy, fireman or pilot in the RTL program "Mario sucht das Paradies".
Numerous reviews described it as shallow entertainment, but in 2003 it received its own program on the private television station "ProSieben". Initially, "I have no idea?" One season was produced, and another one later in 2005 with a total of ten episodes. Barth also appeared in the Sat1 comedy program "Schillerstrasse", in which he played a heating engineer and other roles, as well as in the RTL program "Typisch Frau - Typisch Mann".
