Tii Ricks was born in Germany, in the city of Bad Hersfeld in the US
Army base. She is the daughter of a Finnish mother and a American
father. The family moved from Germany to New York (USA), where they settled
in Brooklyn; living right beside the Verrazano-Narrows bridge in the
Fort Hamilton Army base.
Tii went to public school 104 and learned the American way of living and doing things. After Tii's dad, a US Army Officer passed away, the family moved back to Finland.
Tii has since become a film editor in Europe and she has directed and edited multiple television programs, short feature films, documentaries, and music videos for which she has received several awards. Her first feature film 'Better Than Andy' was released worldwide in January 2009.
Her first horror feature film Rage: Midsummer's Eve was shot in Finland, near the Arctic Circle. The film has its premiere in 2015.
Tii got her inspiration for the film from the classic horror films, such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street, which she used to watch as a kid.
Horror films are her biggest passion and have been ever since she started watching horror films behind her parent's backs at the young age of five.
