Nicky Cruz was leader of a brutal Puerto Rican New York gang called
'The Mau Maus' which ran wild in the mid to late 1950s, before he met
the preacher 'David Wilkerson'. David told Cruz about Jesus, and how God still
loved him and was willing to forgive him. Cruz was initially
unconvinced, but, after a few weeks, he accepted Jesus as his Saviour.
He gave up his life as a gang leader, and started studying the Bible.
47 years later, Nicky has become a Reverand, and he preaches all over
the world.
