Marlene Slaughter

American actor, Marlene Slaughter was born in Houston, Texas. After spending her early childhood and teen years in Houston, she moved with her family to the Chicagoland area in 2013. Marlene began her career in the arts by winning gold at the NAACP ACT-SO competition for Drama in 2015. She earned her BFA degree in Acting and MultiMedia Entertainment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Before graduation she secured professional representation with the Gray Talent Group and her first two professional jobs, a commercial for Blue Cross Blue shield and a cross-country tour with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Since then, she has appeared in television shows like 61st Street; Somebody, Somewhere; American Greed; and numerous commercials for Project Makeover, Glassdoor, Red Robin, and more.
