Actress Kari Wishingrad was born on June 29 in New York
City on the upper west side.
She attended the prestigious school Lincoln Square Academy performing arts grammar school in the heart of Lincoln Center and in her youth watched countless Broadway Musicals with her family.
It was during a performance of the musical "I Had A Ball" starring Buddy Hackett that Wishingrad, age four, knew that she wanted to become a performer.
For the next twenty years she performed in numerous plays and musicals, including those as a member of an English language theater in Besancon, France, and in the highly successful San Francisco run of "Tokens: A Play on the Plague," produced by Whoopi Goldberg and written by David Schein.
Since 2002, Wishingrad has performed exclusively in TV and film, appearing in over fifty independent films along with numerous television shows, national and regional commercials.
Wishingrad has twice collaborated with acclaimed film director Rob Nilsson, first in Sand(2010), then in Collapse(2013).
As a model, she has appeared in numerous print ads for a variety of products. She has also added her rich versatile voice to numerous film, animation and television projects through the years.
Wishingrad is widely recognized as a performer for the wide range of characters she has played to date, having played everything from an eccentric psychic (Hell House, 2008) to a corrupt big-city mayor (Pitoy, 2012).
