Divinity Rose

Jessica Lynn Mathis (AKA Divinity Rose) is a multi-award and grant winning writer/producer/director who comes from a background in journalism, stand up comedy and experimental multi-media performance art. She has a love for humor, the supernatural and the mysterious. She uses her experiences with 10 different childhood families and childhood trauma to tell stories by page, stage and screen. Her experience in the entertainment industry ranges from performing for stage or screen with notables like Lisa Lampanelli, Nora Dunn, and Al Snow to producing her own writing for live shows, commercial projects and web series in addition to working freelance crew on various projects for individual clients and networks like ESPN, Discovery, and ABC. Her writing and producing have been awarded multiple awards or grants and led to being a finalist for prestigious writing fellowships like Sundance Episodic Labs, Imagine Impact and a semi-finalist for the Disney/ABC Writer's Fellowship. Weaving her technology interests into her art, she's also enjoyed interactive storytelling via mobile apps and multimedia installations or events that blend reality with fiction. She is the CEO of She Dreams Content Development and Production LLC, a company focused on the development and creation of female forward entertainment and media featuring themes of identity, overcoming trauma, and claiming personal power.
