His father is Taiwanese, and his mother is Japanese.
He grew up speaking Japanese and English.
He is also a proud graduate of the professional actor training program
at the Marjorie Ballentine Studio, whose founder Marjorie Ballentine,
continues to be his acting coach and mentor.
He is a 2004 graduate with a BFA in drama from The Juilliard School.
