Back in December 2023, Netflix swooped in and acquired season two of the critically acclaimed Australian drama The Tourist after Max passed on picking up the distribution rights after airing the first season. Season one of the riveting drama followed Jamie Dornan (Belfast) as a man with a sketchy past who suffered from amnesia as the result of a car accident that was meant to kill him. And season two, which premieres on February 29, 2024, finds Dornan reprising his role as Elliot alongside Danielle Macdonald as Helen, the only person he could depend on when he couldn’t remember his own name.
Their relationship grew over the course of the first season, and by the finale, they were more than just friends. Now, in season two, Elliot and Helen will be traveling to Ireland, hoping to find answers about Elliot’s identity. “But instead, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions,...

Plot: An unsettled writer with a fantastic mustache, Roger Sharpe, finds solace and confidence in the one thing he has mastered: pinball. When a police raid destroys the only machines he can find in 1970s New York City, he learns the game is illegal. Roger reluctantly joins forces with the Music and Amusement Association to overturn the ban while falling in love with Ellen, an artist and single mother. Roger’s path to save pinball ultimately rescues him. He and Ellen overcome their pasts and take a shot at love. Roger learns what it means to take a chance—and that commitment is the most rewarding gamble of all.
Review: If you are a longtime reader of this website, you may notice we tend to post about pinball machines. Our founder, JoBlo himself, is a huge fan of the game and even served as a producer on a documentary about them called Arcade Dreams.

The idea of a “fall TV season” feels particularly antiquated in 2017, as two of the year’s buzziest series (“Game of Thrones” and “Twin Peaks”) have already wrapped for the year. Fall may even be a bit of an afterthought now compared to spring, as networks aim to catch Emmy voters with prestige TV premieres when campaign season gets underway.
And yet, there’s nearly 70 years of tradition with the fall TV season. It’s when Nielsen still resets the calendar for the new TV year; when blue chip advertisers like the automotive sector roll out their own new wares; football season returns (don’t discount that huge impact on TV schedules); and the weather gets chilly, which conceivably means more viewers watching TV indoors.
This year, they’ll find a lot of familiar titles on broadcast TV, including the return of NBC’s “Will & Grace”; a prequel to “The Big Bang Theory,...

Also getting special previews are Season 2 of the Emmy-nominated “Better Things,” the fourth season of “Gotham,” the upcoming Sundance TV miniseries “Liar,” and NBC’s revival of classic sitcom “Will & Grace.”

The Missing could return for a second series, say writers Jack and Harry Williams.
The writers are in talks with the BBC about creating a follow-up to the mystery drama, reports the Guardian.
"It's in negotiations, I think that's fair to say," said Jack. "It's definitely something we are keen to do and [the BBC] feel like they're keen to do but to say any more may be too difficult."
The writers said it was difficult for them to say whether any of the present cast would return without giving away the ending of the current series.
"All we can say is that this [series] will have closure to it," said Jack. "I don't want someone at the BBC to kill me!"

Written by Jack and Harry Williams (Roman’s Empire) and directed, à la True Detective, entirely by one filmmaker (Tom Shankland), this limited-run series, which premieres Saturday at 9 p.m., is mercilessly precise in its evocation of all the different possible responses to a traumatic event. Sometimes it’s so wrenching (because the emotions are so raw, and so honestly expressed) that I found myself listening to it like a radio program, head down, taking notes, so that I wouldn’t have to look at the characters’ agonized faces. I have two kids, but I don’t think that’s the reason this series proved so hard for me; it probably has more to do with the generalized but deep notes of existential terror that it strikes,...
